THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors released a statement to confirm his full support for Deep Silver/Koch Media's Metro: Exodus decision.
The press release also clarifies the internal structure of the company.
Following a recent interview with Sony, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann claims the original intent was “unfortunately lost” in the process.
Glad he clarified it but i'm still somewhat skeptical. Plus, his comments about how Ai will revolutionize storytelling were still pretty iffy.
Druckmann claims the tech could 'push the boundaries of storytelling in games.'
I’m more interested in what else he said.
“Neil Druckmann says new Naughty Dog title could ‘redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’
He also said it has "ethical issues we need to address" but of course that doesn't get the clicks.
I’m all for it. Cuts the time to make a game. Look, Hellblade 2 took 5 years to make, if AI can do that in half the time, as a consumer, I support it.
CD Projekt RED and Yigsoft have launched The Witcher 3 REDkit on PC. We interviewed both studios to discuss the release of these mod tools.
Beginning the Exodus from Steam, fitting
Of course he supports it. It's his own partners, he has to believe everything they do is the best decision.
Unfortunately Steam is charging gangster protection money put their hands up like f*** 30% is insane
This was a dirty tactic. To have pre-orders on Steam for what seemed like a year, and pull the game with 2 weeks to go, is pretty low. It almost looks like Epic was in on the planning of the timing when Koch Media would pull the game. They tried to benefit from the Steam pre-sales, and then thought they would drag everyone over to Epic, just as the game was about to launch. They have completely botched the PC release of this game, due to the blow-back they are receiving.
Not that this affects me at all but I think this exclusivity deal with Epic is going to backfire and on top of that Kotaku has come out attacking Steam users calling them "toxic" but regardless if you believe Steam users are toxic or not, given what has happened over the last year or so, if I was the developer I would tell sites like Kotaku to STFU.
