That’s awesome to see.

Cory seems to be a really nice guy. I wonder what his next project will be.

UCForce2015d ago

Everything is possible. I know he will deliver. Even he is not the creator of God Of War, but he was excellent director of God of War 2 which was my favorite game and better than first one.

This Sony/Kojima collaboration makes want to see Kojima be more involved. Like who here remembers the Siren games? Now imagine Kojima being tasked to revive it...

Or help design some of the enemies/machines on HZD 2...

Or revive Socom and giving it that Metal Gear flavor...

Yeah, one can dream...

@UltraNova Everything is possible.

You said the magic words...Socom...jeeze man..you dont know how much I'd want a new socom. More like socom 2 with singleplayer and all those commands we used to have. Not like todays squad shooters where its commands are just shoot and hold.

Or maybe he and his team can create and work on their own games. He spent more than 20 years mainly on a single franchise and now that he is free to create what he wants, I really don't see him working on other studios projects or IPs that he didn't create. With someone as creative as him I wouldn't be surprise if he already had a concept for his next game or even games.

The original GOW easily had the strongest story though. 2 and 3 while great in their own ways did not have the same care paid to story. The reboot luckily went back to a story focus again, just like the original.

Ratchet752014d ago

Gow2 had a way much deeper story and character development than the first one.

PapaBop2014d ago

Funny that because after GoW, I was comparing Barlog to Kojima at least in terms of my respect for him. Two of the most talented game directors in the business together.

It's like you're at work and you wanted feedback from a talented friend so you just walk on over his desk ask for opinion while hanging out for a short break.
