Atari has taken over the RollerCoaster Tycoon series and is constantly trying to innovate the long-running franchise. In the past they have brought all the PC goodness into a scaled-down version with a couple of mobile titles. But with a few advancements in technology, there are a couple of surprises in store for fans of RollerCoaster Tycoon. Two new games are in development; one allows for fun anywhere you go and the other puts you right into the coaster seat.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Joyride is a game that fails in delivering anything that remotely resembles what made the series good in the first place.
TGG Writes: "I had hopes for RollerCoaster Tycoon Joyride but they sadly crashed and burned when I got to see what it had to offer."
TSA writes: "RollerCoaster Tycoon Joyride is a first person shooter. Just let that sink in for a moment. RollerCoaster Tycoon — a franchise famed for building rollercoasters and running a theme park — is now a VR rail shooter, but worse than that, it’s not even a good game. It’s buggy and unstable, and it’s just built on the awful premise that riding a rollercoaster alone simply isn’t fun enough."
