Have a feeling this game will steal some spotlight at E3 this year.

Not sure what the mods have against this game. The upcoming trailer story broke yesterday and has half-a-dozen submissions from various N4G users but keep getting failed.

lelo2play2296d ago (Edited 2296d ago )

"steal some spotlight " is an understatement.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 will likely steal most of E3 spotlight.

Xenophon_York2296d ago

Yeah, no, I think between Ghosts of Tsushima, Last of Us: Part II, Red Dead Redemption 2, Days Gone, Anthem, Detroit: Become Human and Death Stranding it's going to be a tight squeeze.

generationjeu2296d ago

Rockstar is never at E3 though. Not saying there won't be a new trailer, but it might be before the event.

ULTp0ltergeist2296d ago

Overall it looks to be the best E3. So many anticipations from the big companies.

UltraNova2296d ago (Edited 2296d ago )

Cant wait to see some game play on Cyberpunk. But lets be real, it wont be coming out this year.

So excited this huge game is being made by a gamer friendly dev like CDPR, no need to worry about GaaS/MT bullshit.

Day 1 limited edition buy.

CP_Company2296d ago

And both in Sony camp. E3 should be golden this year for Sony.

sampsonon2295d ago

only if we see game play.

overrated442295d ago

Also whatever From Software shows off.

not with just a stupid trailer it wont. unless i see some game play i will be disappointed.
i know other games will have game play like Ghost Of Tsushma and Death Stranding, yes even Death Stranding, which was announced only a couple years ago.

2295d ago
bolimekurac2295d ago

you wont play death stranding anytime soon

sampsonon2295d ago (Edited 2295d ago )

@bolimekurac: probably sooner than Cyberpunk 2077 though right? what I'm saying is they should be showing some kind of game play by now. it was announced in 2012 for crying out loud.

bolimekurac2295d ago

xeno. detroit human will come and go its a qte game, the rest i agree with

jonivtec2296d ago

Holiday 2018 would be a perfect release date:)

mikey2012296d ago

its not coming out this year...

Xenophon_York2296d ago

Who knows? CD Project Red could decide to take a page from Bethesda's playbook and announce the release date a mere three months prior to it hitting shelves.

It has been in development for almost six years now... [insert gif of giddy Christoph Waltz from Inglorious Bastards] 😖

kmeck5182296d ago

They didn't really start working on it full time until Witcher 3 was finished. And didn't they just finish retooling the engine like 6 or 7 months ago? I would love to see it come out this year but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Xenophon_York2296d ago (Edited 2296d ago )

@kmeck518

April two thousand fifteen is when Witcher went gold—with a three and a half development cycle. With how staggeringly successful that game was I would imagine it afforded them the luxury of increasing the workforce and improving the workplace.

April will make three years since a dedicated team has been able to focus on Cyberpunk 2077, and roughly six years of overall general development.

Don't get too excited, but, hypothesis:

E3, CD Project Red announces Cyberpunk 2077 to release around October/November.

Fulfills the [edit: standard] three and a half year development mould [edit: such as Witcher 3 had].

Again, [insert gif of giddy Christoph Waltz from Inglorious Bastards].

EazyC2295d ago

They don't have the same pulling power as Bethesda do, I'm pretty sure tES and Fallout sold considerably more than the Witcher 3 (NOT saying that's indicative of quality of course)

Antifan2295d ago

No one knows how long CDPR has been working on this game. Retooling the engine could be after most of the game is finished. CDPR has been hush hush about it, so no telling when it'll be out.

My pickle trembles with the thought of exploring a Cyberpunk world built by CD Project Red

EazyC2295d ago (Edited 2295d ago )

My pickle pickles further thinking about how they're going to achieve all of this, the game seems bigger than what is possible at the minute.

Cyberpunk 2077 Director On 95% Positive Steam Rating: "Never Thought I'd See It"

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way from being one of the worst games on the planet to being one of the best ones.

DustMan13d ago

I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits25d ago (Edited 25d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7225d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii25d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast25d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM25d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife24d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit24d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife24d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!

Well they are using unreal engine now thanks to there work culture and horrific job on making cyberpunk so for the future no impact.

But it will be interesting to see what mods will be made

https://rebel-wolves.com/

just_looken37d ago

7 disagrees shows how many look at one dlc that had a rip off fight from ghost in the shell and goes wow what a goat team i love cdpr while ignoring that they only made 2 games that were good witcher 2/3 in 20yrs.

But its a new world we want a criminal that support's legal murder as president/support shoplifting love toxic work environments and have a mass casualty event every other day.

GhostMirror37d ago

I’ll admit I didn’t play it at launch, but Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game now.

And who the hell knows what you’re even going on about in your second paragraph here.

EazyC37d ago

Wait a min...I swear to god CP2077's source code got leaked before. CDPR needs to stop using "password123" for all their accounts 😅

just_looken37d ago

Na its hundreds ex employees no doubt just getting there revenge.

Profchaos37d ago (Edited 37d ago )

This is the same leak the threat actors have been trying to sell the source code after cd project didn't pay the ransom.

They didn't manage to sell the source code to any company largely because it would be unethical for say EA to buy it so the threat actors failed to find a buyer.

After they failed to make any money they went through with their threat of simply giving it away.
