Vampyr - A dark and violent vampire action RPG that´s set in the 20th century London

I (Robin Ek, TGG) don´t know about you, but it´s been a very long time since I played a game with a vampire theme that I truly enjoyed. So I got quite excited when I heard about Vampyr, and this is the reason why.

Well, Vampyr does indeed give me some Vampire: the masquerade bloodlines vibes. So that´s a good sign for sure.

That´s what I thought as well. I just hope that the game will be just as dark in the full version of Vampyr.

By the looks of the videos that I´ve watched, it also appears as if Vampyr will be rather gory and violent as well (lovely!).

I truly hope so, but the combat aspects need to be sorted out before the final release (the same goes for the facial animations).

That´s true...The devs did get all the voice acting parts right though.

I'm becoming a RPG fan this gen. Love them. Have to say iv just watch the e3 demo of this game and, lots to be desired. It was alpha tho so thats a giving.. Have to see more of the game because what I saw was trash. Its alpha so I'm just spewing right now: but yeah.

Well, I listed pretty much everything that needs to be sorted out before release. So "if" the devs fix all of that, then we could get a really impressive and interesting vampire action/RPG experience by next year.

absolutely right it has that protential for multiple reasons.. I hope the combat is first on their to do list. It seemed vary dated.. To be frank, iv really only played shooter rpg's. Such as mass effect and fallout.. Playing the witcher3" witch is pretty much hand to hand combat. it fails in comparison.. It don't have to be witcher3 but it has to be more then just hack&slash.. Your right though, if its done correctly we" could indeed have something good..

I'm really looking forward to this, I don't think we've had a great vamp game.. ever? I played Life is Strange over the summer which I really enjoyed. The writing and tone was so on point. I have a feeling it will be on of 2017's sleep hits.

Vampire: The Masquerade but not sure if you were born already.... ;)

Yes, being a game by Dontnod also makes me very interested in the game. Some of the best story tellers in the industry.

Reminds me a bit of inFamous: Festival of Blood, with some elements similar to Prototype.

What I've seen of the game looks fantastic. It has a great mood...a very good vibe. Hopefully it turns out well.

If they work on the battle mechanics a little more it'll be a solid game.
