2015 featured a number of rather different games that went on to enjoy both critical and commercial success.
Solo developer Sam Barlow launched search engine-driven narrative Her Story, while Psyonix released car football title Rocket League. Meanwhile, French studio Dontnod – which made 2013’s Remember Me – teamed up with publisher Square Enix to release Life is Strange, an episodic adventure game starring an otherwise ordinary teenager who discovers the ability to travel in time.
The title launched in January 2015 and went onto receive a Metacritic score of 85 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and – as of July 2015 – had sold in excess of 1.2 million units worldwide. Not only that, it was nominated for a seemingly endless number of awards, taking away the new games IP and use of narrative prizes at the Develop Awards, while it won Performance of the Year at the Golden Joysticks.
Life is Strange developer Don't Nod currently has five unannounced games in the pipeline.
The story of Chloe and Max could have continued after the ending.
I wish the developers would have gone with their original plans, it sounded really good, but apparently they didn't have enough dev time make the game like that. I'm actually upset with what we did get in the end, mainly that final episode, it was enough to turn me off other games in the series.
You can find some of the cut stuff here:

But I can't find the article from when the game first game out that analysed what could have been.
Today Don't Nod Entertainment announced that the adventure game Life is Strange has achieved a new player count milestone.
I found all LiS games to be very good.
Especially the first and True Colors.
Before the storm was also amazing as it tied up the story with 1 in a great way and mae you invested with previously unknown character.
I think LiS 2 was the weakest in the series but still a very good game
The game is a good game I enjoyed the first game I double platinumed it on PS3 and PS4. And Life is Strange Before the Storm I also enjoyed if it was on PS3 I would have bought it again because I enjoyed it. Life is Strange 2 for some reason I just can't get into it. And the newer Life is Strange game I have yet to play it.
Hopefully more games like it from them, also from other developers as well.
I know the gaming industry runs off on 'see monkey do' where publishers / developers copy a specific genre they feel the consumer is more gravitated towards at the moment.
Unfortunately right now we have three genres getting copied, that being whatever you call Minecraft, Open World and 16 / 8bit graphic games.
I really want story driven adventures to become the big copied formula for awhile.
I can't wait til Vampyr. I hope they do Remember Me 2 in the future
