COG writes - 2015 has been an amazing year in games and the COGconnected team is ready to dive into their Game of the Year awards. From 'The Skid Row Tire Fire' to 'The Prettiest Pony' we cover every category you can think of and a few more.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!
How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera
And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
The Souls-like genre remains popular, along with FromSoftware's classics there are many contenders. But which are the best Souls-like games?
Hmm... In my opinion, the 7 best are the 6 made by FromSoftware (DeS, DS1, DS2, DS3, BB and ER), then Lies of P. But each to their own.
Saad from eXputer: "Almost a decade later, it's time to take the nostalgia goggles off and accept that Bloodborne has long been surpassed by its successors."
Yes, yes it does. It’s still a great game. Elden Ring isn’t better just different and a bit easier . I like that you have to be aggressive but smart in Bloodborne
"Skid Row Tire Fire", what a great category. I'm guessing that is not the game of the year award. lol
Great video... Did a little skip through to get the highlights and I'll definitely be sitting down to give this a full listen!
I wonder what's going to win Prettiest Pony
Some interesting choices there!
Good choices and nice chaps. Worth a watch. Looking fwd to the next episode.
