PG:World of Darkness, the in-development massively multiplayer online title based on the Vampire: The Masquerade universe, is no more, developer CCP announced today.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York – a stand-alone expansion and a companion piece to VtM – Coteries of New York announced.
World of Darkness creators White Wolf have returned to the realm of video games with a pair of interactive stories available on Steam, iOS and Android devices. This is the first time in a decade that this franchise has been on PC!
Werewolf: The Apocalypse is coming to a game system near you! But who's behind the adaptation from the World of Darkness? Answers here!
I had a strong feeling this would happen after CCP went all mute on the project
Joels they might have ran out of funds for the project.
Vampire The Masquearade is one of those gems that will probably never get a proper sequel. Every RPG ethusiast should play this game, it's old so it tuns on toasters even.
That is a damn shame! I am not the biggest MMO fan out there and when I found out if I wanted to play any future vampire the masquerade successors it was going to be as a MMO I was not elated but at the very least I was going to get something in that universe.
This is crushing IMO. Please CCP just sell the franchise to a dev ( I'd love to see Obsidian take a crack at the franchise,I think they are one of the only devs I could see doing it justice)that could potentially bring us a direct sequel to bloodlines or a spiritual successor.
