GTA V's Weather Is Even More Beautiful In Time-Lapse

Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos is easily one of the most gorgeously rendered, thriving digital creations put on a disc. So it was only a matter of time before someone made a time-lapse video showing the game's shifting weather in all its glory.

stunning work of art , marvel of a game

For the size, yes, yes it is.

The game is pretty, but it also really shows the limitations of the current-gen consoles. While playing, I can't help imagining how it would look with fewer jaggies, a higher frame rate, cleaner textures, per-object motion blur, etc.

Hopefully after the DLC is out, we'll see a "complete edition" release on PS4, XB1 & PC.

The game is georgeous, but after 60+hours of playing one can really notice how empty some areas of the map are.

In some remote areas, you will never see a car, especially dirt roads.

Unlike in GTA IV, if you're in the water, dont expect to ever see a boat come by.

I find that when going out to sea, and in very remote desert the rule is - bring what you requre with you. cause you're not going to find a boat, or truck once your out there.

Also, there are not "busy" pedestrain spots like in San Andreas. Casino - empty. Horse racetrack - empty. Stadium - empty. No shoppping mall whatsoever.

I know what you mean but I also disagree. There are some busy pedestrian points like the movies, some of the bars etc.

some of the back roads can seem kind of empty but then in the real world would you really see that much traffic on roads like that. GTA4 also had some roads that were empty most of the time.

in some areas the roads only seem to get empty at night but during the day they are busy. If it was more a reflection of power available then even the highways etc would seem empty most of the time.

jaggies and stuff, ya the game has a little but no more then most games this gen anyway. you want to talk about flat textures etc, take a look at saints row4 and that is not even half the size of gta5.

i think the only real loss is GTAV

OtterX5d ago

I think everyone and their sister owns the game by now. They likely want to squeeze the rest of the holdouts before GTAVI releases.

Profchaos5d ago

That game comes and goes from subscriptions so frequently I think it's expected now. Like rdr2 on gamepass Rockstar Games only last a max of 3 months On a service

MrBaskerville4d ago

Talos Principle is the real loss.

BanginTunes4d ago

Facts that game is good as fuck I'm playing through 2 now, very underrated

Huey_My_D_Long5d ago

indivisible was pretty neat. Cute artstyle, fun throwback to older RPGs, shame its leaving but it is on sale often

shinoff21835d ago

Definitely. I e joyed what I played of it. Still gotta grab the physical at some point

Petebloodyonion5d ago

I'm not surprised by GTA V removal, Rockstar never allows this game to stay long on a subscription service.
They usually allow 4 to 6 months.

lodossrage5d ago

Yeah, they do that routinely with both GTA and Red Dead.

But it's because they know they can still sell them so they take them off and on to these sub services in cycle.

The weird thing to me is why is anyone still buying those games at this point? You would think after 3 generations of being sold GTA 5 that everyone and their momma would have it by now

RNTody5d ago

I fail to see how the loss of an almost 11 year old game that released across 3 generations is in any way a problem.
