Wired editor Peter Rubin spent multiple days at Microsoft’s Redmond campus learning all about Xbox One in advance of the announcement, and most of what the Microsoft execs wanted to talk about was entertainment as a whole, not just games. “The decision wasn’t ‘we need a gamebox,’” Xbox executive Marc Whitten told Wired.

The Mass Effect trilogy shines as one of the only Western RPGs to give an immersive and unforgettable experience.
There's much better wrpg series. Mass effect dumbed down after the first one. Seemed a but different going from the 1st to the second, not in a good way.
My favorite trilogy will be the Ar Tonelico trilogy, Xenosaga trilogy followed by the ME trilogy.
How can it be the best trilogy when the 3rd one is terrible and the only thing it had going for it was the multiplayer?
Considering all 3 witcher games are better
Considering all 3 Dragon age games are better
Considering all 3 Baldur's gate games are better
Weird choice

"Wired asked Microsoft if installation would be mandatory. “On the new Xbox, all game discs are installed to the HDD to play,” the company responded in an emailed statement. Sounds mandatory to us.
What follows naturally from this is that each disc would have to be tied to a unique Xbox Live account, else you could take a single disc and pass it between everyone you know and copy the game over and over. Since this is clearly not going to happen, each disc must then only install for a single owner.
Microsoft did say that if a disc was used with a second account, that owner would be given the option to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, which would then mean that the new account would also own the game and could play it without the disc."
So online passes are redundant now. Offline Pass confirmed.
Its clear Microsoft invested heavily in multimedia hug feature sets and less in gaming capabilities. The games shown are clearly not on PS4 level. I want a gaming console first and less of a media hub. Xbox One did not impress me.
I already invested in a media entertainment for my living room and do not see the beneficial value of the One. But to each their own.
It's all good..........if you live in the USA. "hello Microsoft, there's a big world out there"
Everything was tailored to the US audience, half of that stuff won't even work in other countries.
The system looks good, loved the new controller but I was expecting something bigger. Their focus was Kinect and TV.... who gives a shite about TV on a gaming console. It's clear that their system is geared towards the American market with the focus on NFL and ESPN.
