One Of The Coolest Parts Of Hellblade 2 Is The Rocks

The magical rune puzzles and deadly combat are incredible, but Hellblade II's rocks might be even cooler.

Im worried that they are hyping this up to be something its not.

Obscure_Observer43d ago

Gamespot is usually pretty harsh on games.

For them to be this excited for Hellblade II (among many other gaming outlets), Ninja Theory definitely has something special for Senua´s fans in this game.

anast43d ago

They are hyping up rocks as being cooler than the actual game. This would worry anyone.

Eonjay43d ago

Yeah saying the rocks are cooler than the combat seems odd at best.

Modpeel42d ago

Senua's fans. Hahaha what were you saying about Hellblade in 2017 when it released as a ps4 exclusive. Wonder if you were a "Senua fan" back then. Or if it was just another rubbish lol Sony one and done "Movie game"

The visual fidelity and attention to detail certainly are on another level.

That's the power of nanite in UE5.

I'll wait for the ps5 port, and if it takes too long I'll just play it on pc eventually. I didn't beat first game yet still though. Put it down and no idea what to do, and with the horrible sense of direction and the way it doesn't tell you what to do, I don't know if I have to look for some random tree or invisible path again.... Which is likely the case.

anast43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

It'll run better on the PS5.

lucian22943d ago

please, i dont have time to start over due to poor quest design lol

Tacoboto43d ago

No idea what to do? Horrible sense of direction? It doesn't tell you what to do?

There's like one path forward. And then there's only like one moment where you get to choose a path, and whichever path you choose has just one path forward through it. Unless you've been playing on mute while looking at another TV, I find this impossible to believe.

lucian22943d ago

wrong, there are lots of hidden puzzles in the game, stuff like looking at sticks aligned in a certain design, or branches, or intersecting pillars. please do not act like the game is not full of obscure puzzles like that. I put game down for a year after becoming a father and then wasn't able to continue because there are no reminders or even any sign of what chapter you are on. The most of the areas look the same as well so it's not like i can just look at a full playthrough to figure it out that easily.

i rather google the ending than bother with bad game design, it isn't that hard to put a reminder of what has to be done next lol. it isn't like it's open world

Everyone is talking and focusing more on the graphics and visuals

Like the first game was a great looking game don’t get me wrong but it’s not all about graphics these days.

darthv7243d ago

...its also about the audio and of course the story.

The optical illusions could be cool.

No wonder the review embargo ends at release day.

Best of luck to team ninja I hope the game sale as much as its predecessor or way more

gold_drake1d 14h ago

its gotten so common to have a day1 patch woth newer games, that devs even advertise their games with "no day 1 patch" haha.
