Joshua Limage of The Koalition writes: Long ago, there was a show on Nickelodeon that changed the entire dynamic of storytelling for young audiences. Each week many fans, including myself, waited for the next chapter of their beloved show. The show was so dazzling in story, design, and action that it was impossible not to fall in love with its rich world.
Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest for Balance tries to do way too much.

The story is mostly based on the original, and adding in extra events is a nice touch, but simply narrating it instead of showing it didn’t help the low-quality storytelling at all.

When it comes to working this newfound expertise into another Nickelodeon franchise, a lot has been asked of the developer, we feel. Quest for Balance falls into a completely different genre, with this being a platform adventure featuring combat and a surprisingly strong focus on puzzle solving. It’s also intended to be the franchise equivalent of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, recapping key events of the entire (and long concluded) storyline."
