2023 is honestly gonna end up as one of the greatest gaming years ever!!

First half of the year was absolutely stacked and the last 3-4 months of the year are even more crazyyyy.

As an owner of ps5, xsx and switch I'm looking at everything releasing and I have no bloody idea where I'm gonna find the time to play:

Bg3
Starfield
Spiderman
Forza
Pikmin
Mario RPG
Alan wake 2
Pay day 3
Cities 2
MK1
Cyberpunk dlc
Armoured core
The new fifa/ ea sports football
New cod

The above arent maybes for me, they are all games I will buy and somehow find time to play, bg3 will probs be the one I get to at a later date

I'm starting with Starfield too but I do hope people will give Baldurs Gate3 a chance, from what I've seen they have really expanded on everything and put a lot of time & effort into making it great. They moved their launch to avoid competition with Satrfield so there's a little gap to play it, plus you can always come back to it later. I'd like to see both games really do very well.

Christopher332d ago

Yeah... I don't think people will have trouble finding time to play BG3. Just as they won't have problem finding time to play Starfield. RPGs like these are very rarely only played in their first month but are returned to over and over again.

Flawlessmic331d ago

Yep same here, good to see people are are excited about what's coming!!

Downvotes are pretty baffling though lol apparently being excited for games In general is something you get downvoted for now on n4g 😅 god bless this place

MrNinosan332d ago

Yeah,
I'll do:
BG3
Starfield
Spider-Man 2
Avatar
Like A Dragon Gaiden
Atlas Fallen
Skylines 2
Helldivers 2

And whatever jrpg that comes out

Luc20332d ago

You're a full time gamer! I'm getting BG3 and Atlas Fallen day one and not sure I'll have time for both but will try

MrNinosan332d ago

@Luc20
I've got 2 jobs and 2 kids (every other week).
I never have time to play through all my games, and my backlog is growing bigger every day.
However I buy everything that I might find time to play, and then some games that I make time for.

Like now, it's FFXVI.
Must play games from my list above is only Starfield, Spider-Man 2 and Avatar.
Rest would be if Inhave time.
Luckoly I'll have 1 month with BG3 at least.

Charlieboy333331d ago

Keep an eye out for Granblue Fantasy Relink if it's a jrpg you're after...looks potentially good

MrNinosan331d ago

@Charlie
Thanks.
I play almost every single jrpg, even if they're not good and will of course play next Granblue game 🙌

You could say the same thing about Starfield. But I believe Baldur's Gate will be better than Starfield imo

get_real331d ago

rofl, keep dreaming ps fanboy

Sonic1881331d ago

I find it interesting and comical when people say playstation fanboy when anyone brings up Starfield when I've mention thousands of time that I'm a PC gamer first🤔 I'll be playing Baldur Gate next month on PC. BTW I played Zelda tears of the kingdom and I believe that game should win GOTY hmm would a playstation fanboy say that 🤔

yeahokwhatever331d ago

I've been playing BG3 on PC, its perfect, even though its still incomplete. Between BGF3 and Diablo, Starfield will have to wait until later when its inevitably fixed via mods.

Sonic1881331d ago

How did you get early access? They told me I have to wait until early August for the PC version

FGHFGHFGH317d ago

@Sonic1881

You can buy it on steam. It's been available to buy for a while.(it's an EA version, you get the full game when it releases)

rob-GP332d ago

That's why it's now coming out a month before Starfield - I'm sure there's plenty of time to play the main story before SF releases...

slayernz331d ago

Maybe if you didn't spend time writing pointless opinions pieces you'll have more time on your hands!!!

Baldur's Gate 3's Side Quest Design is its Secret Weapon

With a game like Baldur's Gate 3, a number of factors make it successful—but perhaps none are as powerful as its side quest design.

Article makes a great point and I agree with it but is spoiler heavy. It should be marked. If you haven’t played through the game be warned as it even spoils parts of act 3.

Dirty_Lemons5d ago

Thanks for this dude, I am very interested in playing when I have time and am trying to avoid spoilers.

This game rocks, everything is quality, and I love the cutscenes, which remind me of Dragon Age Origin.

Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Physical Deluxe Editions Delayed Due to Production Issues

While we were so hoping to not have to update owners of the console physical Deluxe Edition with any further news of delay, we’ve now run into more production issues which means that players who pre-ordered their PS5 North America copy that was expected to ship later this month, will now have to wait until July before they can get their hands on them.

shinoff21837d ago

Got that email like 2 weeks ago. Tbh I'm not tripping. I understand sht happens. I'm just glad they changed their minds on the physical release

Popsicle7d ago (Edited 7d ago )

I with you. I got the email is well. Happy to eventually own a physical copy and glad it’s not digital only.

Baldurs Gate 3 was great, but I dont think it is as crazy as people make it out to be. I actually think Starfield is closer to being a crazy insane once in a lifetime game, but Im ready for the flak Im about to get.

AndrewM7d ago

If you think that then you either A never played Bg3 or B never watched anyone else play it, or C you don't know anything about the game, or D you played it and have no idea of the marvel it is in every single aspect of game design. It doesn't matter what game you compare it to, it doesn't hold a candle. Let alone starfield.

Armaggedon6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

A. Ive played it thrice
B. Played with others, so there are moments of watching
C. Know more than I would care to about the game
D.
Thats quite bold, seeing as there are an inumerable amount of games for it to contend with. I also know plenty of people with their own gripes with the game.

As someone that creates things, and has actively sought to gather intel and understanding, I would say Baldurs Gates very nature makes it so it would have a hard time sitting upon the lofty throne you have given it. Similar to a Bethesda game, it is a game with a very large number of permutations and variables to consider, despite being smaller in scale by direct comparison.

Exemplary mastery of design philosophy is more certain to appear in a game that is for confined. One of the reasons I see Starfield the way I do is simply Bethesedas approach of breaking the rules. Anyone should hopefully know that you just dont try to fit a Bethesda game into a space game, but they found a way to pull it off. Do to the nature of large scale open world games, whether it is efficient or not depends on the angle one is looking at.

Many people would tell me immediately that loading screens and empty planets prove that they failed to pull it off. If you play Starfield like a conventional game yes

Armaggedon6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

Part 2:
Many people would tell me immediately that loading screens and empty planets prove that they failed to pull it off. If you play Starfield like a conventional game yes, it will seem disjointed and lazy; however, to those who realize what Bethesda were going for, you will see that the game is severely underestimated. The idea of God is hated and loved by many, and there is much controversy. Starfield is closer to that idea than people even notice.
