I haven't played an MMO in raids in a long time, but when did it change to everyone rolling on everything in these games? When I played MMOs over ten years ago, it was you win something you get nothing else until everyone else gets something, and even then oftentimes what happened is leftovers went into the guild vault for giving away in a monthly draw by need.
Out of everything wrong with the XIV community, that's what you talked about, when I was playing the game for years, the community is insufferable but not even a single person complained about the fact that you roll for what you want and luck decides
Thegamer with another garbage opinion article. There is plenty wrong with how the top end gear is distributed in the game and how you are only allowed to progress with 7 other friends in a game with free companies of 50+, but zero of that is the playerbases fault. Any time anyone has ever asked "hey can I have X piece of gear if it drops" in randoms I've seen every single player oblige. You can't even Need roll on things you can't use, so its not like "noob healer loses rolls to high level tank player" unless they click the wrong button.
