Fortnite "Borrows" Apex Legends' Pinging System

Fortnite has lifting the pinging mechanic from Apex Legends as part of day one for season 8.

So they (poorly) copied the ping system, and they're also considering copying the respawn ability. It hasn't even been 4 weeks since Apex came out.

Nothing wrong with that. Both are really useful and will make fortnite better. I personally like apex more. I didn’t really get into that cartoon style and building mechanic.

I don't mind other games using these systems. It's a good thing. My issue is that every time a BR comes out Fortnite immediately copies it. It's like Epic can't think of anything original, everything in the game was copied from something else.

Fortnite is best for save the world that was the original game then they created battle royal, the building fits the save the world.

Fortnite in itself is based on copying other work. The only thing different they added was building. Otherwise every other feature of the game has been lifted from another BR title.

As a gamer, I would just be thankful there are live teams doing what they can to keep these games fresh.
Taking ideas is literally all of gaming in its entirety.
Those players that found their home in apex will not go back to fortnite because of a well made mechanic. They are two very different offerings in the br realm.

Apex is pretty decent but it's barebones. Needs solo and duo modes plus areas in map are too open it's a long range map. Fortnite is better in this regards

That pinging system has been done so much before, just like rhe battle royal mode before pubg, that it just hadn't been used for a while and had been forgotton. So a game like apex comes out and all of a sudden people think it's thems who created it, so people say whoever uses after that are copying it, it's such stupidness.
