So EA has officially announced that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will come out sometime in 2017. The 2015 reboot enjoyed some measure of success, despite some glaring shortcomings. Based off what we've seen over the last year for Battlefront, what can we expect from the 2017 sequel?
BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.
Aspyr Media Inc allegedly used a fan-made PC mod to add previously Xbox exclusive content to Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
Aspyr if we sell hotcakes get that code from radical or something and create battlefield 3 please
I thought that was kind of obvious they were incorporating mods to piece this game together. Maybe not, but that's made me worried about one thing:
They also planned on adding the modded ending to KOTOR 2 but were legally blocked from doing so, even after they advertised that to help sell preorders for the game on Switch. Could the same happen with this? Any opponents have 3 weeks to bring down the hammer.

Season pass.
We can expect a bare bones crap experience. Just like we got with the first one. Also expect yet another season pass which will be cut down after you pay for it.
Frankly ANYONE that buys this next release is just plain stupid. I will wait until it is about 9 bucks used on Ebay and even then I would have to consider it.
Oh what could have been.
A lot of dlc , microtransactions, season pass(es).
I fully expect it to launch within a month of Episode VIII, so it's really just a question of Disney's willingness to keep EA in the loop... assuming they do, I'd bet on pretty much every character from Ep VII, with the exception of Snoke - who might still appear as DLC, depending on his role in Ep 8.
They won't go back to the prequel trilogy, seeing as multiplayer would force one side to play as 'roger-roger' droids... aside from the Death Stars - which will almost certainly be in the PSVR version - they've basically covered everything from the original trilogy, now that Bespin's on it's way.
