Evil Dead: The Game Review - IGN

Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetric multiplayer game of cat and mouse that’s compelling and exhilarating, despite being rough around the edges.

70+ hours in, having a ball! could use a few bug fixes though, sometimes characters simply don't move haha!

Lol

Big budget? 8/10 minimum on IGN.

I think the broken Battlefront 2 launch received a 6.7/6.8 review and that was nothing but a soulless mobile game clone on day one.

all journalists base their score off the current climate at the time... referencing them years later just makes you look foolish.

Journalists create and maintain the climate

Needs content drop every two months atleast. A new map, mode and survivor or demon. For $40 its not too bad. Fun game

If it was a single player only game I would have interest.

CrimsonWing69380d ago

Yea, this is literally what I was coming here to post, too.

I’m not knocking that it isn’t fun or anything, but I have no interest in asymmetrical MP games and had this had a story and decent production value, I’d have bought it Day 1.

I wish this game had a single player mode and included a continued story of when ash got stuck in the future (the original ending of army of darkness.)

TGG_overlord397d ago

I want a single player mode as well ;) That would be pretty neat indeed.

HeliosHex397d ago

@TGG. I still remember how bad ass his car looked right out of a mad max movie too.

Bathyj397d ago

Ok you can't just call a game Game of the Year Edition because it has all the DLC, which I'm assuming is what this is.

ModsDoBetter397d ago

Yep, it’s a strange trend, which Ubisoft are pretty bad for as well. Whilst this game is good as das as asymmetrical multiplayer games go, it’s a far cry from game of the year.

Huge fan of the movies and Bruce Campbell, and I even like the series, but they dropped the ball on this one by making it a live service. I don't think it even got 1 GOTY vote.

I love Evil dead its my favourite horror franchise, they needed to make this a single player game with a single player campaign, making it MP like this is just such a let down.
