Senior game designer Rob Donovan hopes fans will innovate new modes
DICE has snuck in a Battlefield 2042 Sharknado Easter egg in the game's most recent patch, and seeing it in action is all kinds of crazy.
In a Game Rant interview, Battlefield 2042 map designer Gabriel Sanchez discusses all the fine points of Stadium's rework.
Does anyone care at this point? Fingers crossed the next bf is golden, don’t think the franchise could take another epic misfire. Good on them for continuing support for 2143, just too little too late
Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated in a recent EA Earnings Call, that the next Battlefield "it is going to be another tremendous live service.”
Another? ANOTHER?
Is he honestly trying to make out like the last Battlefield was a huge success, not just as a game but as a live service game? I'm sure these guys live in their own echo chambers, they are so far removed from reality or they just like talking out of their arse trying to rewrite history.
Also why say such a tone deaf statement when you know the state of live service games at the minute and how many gamers feel about them. Bigging up the next BF game as live service does not give me any excitement or hype.
I don't understand why some people or even developers think that BR mode is just a craze and it will pass over... Don't they get the BR is like any regular mode of multi-player but more interesting and intense and it's here to stay and I love it. I haven't had the thrill I get from playing a good BR mode since I used to play socom back in the ps2 Era. No respawn, team coms is a must, and coming in first is not a thrill you would get from playing any regular 6v6 mode with respawn or 128 respawn mode capturing flags over and over again....
BR era has just started, it's gonna evolve to way longer games and more rpg like games. A lot more variation of BR experiences is coming the next couple of years and I love it.
I like br games. It's understandable that some people don't though. Everyone has a different preference. For battlefield they would basically have to make a whole new game to make it work for them similar to how warzone was made separate from call of duty. I think it's why they are avoiding it for now.
Just let me recreate scavenger mode from BF3
They clearly dont want to cannabalize their BR audience when they have Apex legends already filling that void.
