Lol, sad to say this, but I honestly think Sony does not truly appreciate Level-5, and is the one who doesn’t green light the continuations. Cannot fathom why they have not been acquired by them. They put out quality games at a solid rate consistently. Would be a great addition

I'm currently playing Rising as I only got about halfway through it back in 2013 (time flies).

I realize this was multiplat, but I'd be interested to see another quality spin off like this, or even a remake of Rising that fixes the camera, etc.

Long overdue, and if they teamed up with Platinum again it would be a chance for Konami to redeem themselves, as Rising was a spin off in the first place.

Instead of chasing other FPS they should focus on their own like killzone 2 did. They even tried chasing the COD crowd with socom 4 that's why it failed. A proper socom more in line with socom 2 would be nice. I miss the warzone mode in KZ2 and the 8 player co-op on resistance 2

When Time Crisis Razin Storm was announced I wanted to play it, but I held off on it for years. Finally in 2016 I had a craving to play it, so I bought it off ebay. Once I got the disc in the mail, I decided it was best to go through all the previous Time Crisis games first.
I had kept an old CRT TV specifically for light gun games, but it remained unplugged for over a decade.

I set up my PS1, GunCon 1, and copy of Time Crisis, and had such an amazing time. The game is only 18 minutes long, but what a fantastic 18 minutes it is! My interest in light gun shooters was starting to increase at a rapid pace, and I started becoming more interested in retro gaming from my childhood as well.

Long story short, I now have 5 CRT TVs, 1 CRT PC monitor, Everdrive flashcarts for NES / GEN / SNES / N64 so I can play everything on original hardware at the correct 240p resolution, I've bought over 30 light guns off ebay (?!) and I can play all light gun games for all those platforms as well.

If you want to play light gun games on your modern TV, you have two decent options.

1) GunCon 3 with PS3, there's only 3 games to pick from, Time Crisis 4, DeadStorm Pirates, Time Crisis Razin Storm. All 3 games are great to play, though. GunCon 3 comes with an IR sensor bar, so it works similarly to a Wiimote, but it feels better in the hand and it far more accurate.

2) The Sinden Lightgun. This was on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo, and I'm a backer of 2 recoil guns. They will finally be arriving within or month or so. You can play nearly every light gun game ever made on PC, and eventually on original hardware and there is no sensor bar required. Check out the YouTube account to watch videos of it in action.

Yeah, I used to have the GCon3 and all 3 of those games came on one disc. I think Time Crisis 4 didn't have all the stuff the standalone Time Crisis 4 had. I remember Point Blank and the original Time Crisis were awesome on PS1. The PS Move was used for a lot of lightgun type games on the PS3, House of the Deads, Resident Evil shooter ported from Wii etc

Bought a PSVR game recently called Pistol Whip that reminded me of the old lightgun games, might be worth checking out

We will see what Sony does this generation but it seems they will continue down the path of making 3rd person over the shoulder woke nonsense. I would love for Sony to get back to making Jrpgs, more platformers (Hats off for Astro Bot) and a proper Socom sequel. But seeing Sony Japan being turn to nothing doesn't look great for that possibility.

1) Metal Gear Solid but not the open world version of most recent game. I want the full on storytelling through a 'corridor' of sorts maximizing visuals, story, sound and experience. With the new haptics of the dual sense we should get some new interesting experiences (like the movement of the PS1 rumble controller in the first MSG game on PS1).

2) Motorstorm (great PS3 game) would be an excellent addition to the PS5 but it must have the 4 player offline multiplayer to play with family and friends at home too.

3) A new WipeOut game
4) A new Burnout game
5) A new SSX game (was on PS2). I don't snowboard but that game was fun and had great graphics and a nice arcade feel to it.
6) Killzone 4! (but in the same style as killzone 2!!) I'd love to see what they do with the power of the PS5
