Mike & Alex have spent a week navigating the controversy surrounding Cyberpunk. While the overwhelming majority of commentators remain fixated on consumerist pet causes, the quality and content of the game (in its optimal state) has largely been forgotten. This episode features a continued discussion of why this approach is misguided… at least for people who care about video games. Also treating the greasy post-launch addition of a paid EXP boost to AC Valhalla.
CD Projekt has concluded support work on Cyberpunk 2077, as the studio has turned focus towards the next Witcher and several other projects.
I really have to get back into it, didn’t even get half way through, have the dlc and everything too.
Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way from being one of the worst games on the planet to being one of the best ones.
I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.
BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.
It's not, though.
When working the game I am liking it but they need to fix the way the cars drive in the game they seriously drive like shit, That shitty free go kart in GTA drives better then half the cars in Cyberpunk just waiting to see if the game has a soft lock glitch that you can't get around that is a game breaker in my eyes. The whole have ability to say what you want in a conversation pressing down on the d pad needs to be fixed in a way that hampers the game and the outcome you choose. If I had to do this all over again I should have waited then got the game.
I am playing it on PC and it os indeed awesome, but there are a lot of problems that reviewers did not mention with the Open world design
- The NPCs being advance and whatever was a lie. Their movements is all scripted and won’t react much to you or say anything interesting other than one line
-The City, while it is dense, it starts to feel lifeless when certain issues break your immersion: NPC drivers will stop if you pull over the car. They do not react to anything other than scripted AI, the wanted system is shit, the gangs and police AI suck ass, and you can’t change Some of your character’s haircut after you create One. You can’t also customize the car.
To me some of this missing/disappointing features show that the game was not ready to ship. I hope CDPR can fix some of this stuff later. But as it stands, great game on PC.
The game itself is great, it has lots of fun content, customization, super moddable, great atmosphere, great story, fun characters, solid controls, and good graphics.
But is has game breaking glitches and bugs that just ruin the above hence spoiling whatever greatness could have been.
I refunded it because it ran poorly but those who don't mind as much have all said the game is fantastic, so hopefully they can fix a lot of issues ASAP and I will get the game again.
