New Halo Infinite Render Shows Master Chief In All of Its Glory

Halo Infinite will be one of the big games to get a reveal during the Xbox Games Showcase on July 23. A new render has been released showing Master Chief.

Got a feeling the preshow will be hands on with series X playing a selection of demos from all the demos they have just released.
Main show similar to Sony's (professionally made etc)
Then post show maybe halo gameplay.

The Master Chief’s character model looks similar than it did in the 2019 cinematic trailer. The armour also looks to be a different shade of green. However, what I’m seeing could just be due to the lighting and angle of the shot,

Yup I noticed it look soooo much better. People combined about the color being too light it looking too mega blocks like. The did it perfect here

I think the brighter initial color of the new armour was due to Halo: CE influence. The newer dark color of the Infinite armour seems to take influence more so from Halo 2-5.

Kind of mixed feelings about that. Sweet in that I don’t have to spend $$$$ on a Series X and just buy it on my $500 720p X1. Sucks that I really want MS to sell me on Series X which they haven’t yet, and if they’re sticking with mostly cross gen gaming, how can they?

that we know that you can put your disc in either when you get it,
and have a vastly different experience.
just like if you bought a game now and played it on the Xbox One X, versus an Xbox One S.

Hope they reboot the story. Corrupt Cortana was not a place I wanted to see them take the story. They’ve been together since day 1. Having her as the Big Bad sucked! IMO of course...

They've already said Infinite picks up with the events following Halo 5...so a chance of them "rebooting the story" are almost zero. I hope the story is a lot better than 5 though for sure.

Yeah...didnt have a problem with the story of Halo 5...it had more to do with the fact that the Hunt the Truth marketing campaign and the actual story in the game didnt quite match up and to me, and that was the more intriguing story imo. Agreed though, Infinite needs to have a more fleshed out story with better writing, performances and characters.

Chris12 obviously needs glasses, and is very delusional. PS5 games were on another level compared to ps4, and what was shown is just the beginning. Let's see what 2nd 3rd 4th generation titles look like on ps5 yes.

I am excited to here about the existing IPs in the show and how they will be re-imagined / re-invented...

But, I really want to see new stuff more!

As we approach the show, they have talked a lot about Halo much not much about the other stuff. My hype is turning into a bit of worry. Too much MC not enough other things.

They'll definitely be showing a lot more. Given that their new studios won't have had enough time to finish many games, I expect we'll see some things that might be a bit further our in release dates as well, and that's ok. Throw in some Indies and 3rd party non-exclusives and I'm sure we'll walk away excited

at first i wasn't all that interested in master chief but i forgot i have gamepass so it'll be available regardless to me so i'll end up checking it out. way more excited for other announcements besides halo and forza

I am not a particularly big fan of the Halo games (apart from the music which I think is incredible), but I hope the game delivers for the fans, I just don't see MS dropping the ball where Halo is concerned, so I reckon Halo fans are in for a treat.

I don't think it would be fair for me to say that, I have played them all except the last one and whilst I enjoyed my time with the games I couldn't claim to be a big fan. My son however, adores the series and whilst he concedes the newer titles were not as good he still really enjoyed them and loves the franchise overall.

I often tend to tune out most of the negativity around games online because in my experience it is often overblown and unnecessarily vitriolic. I get peoples milage varies with different games, but some people really turned on Halo 5 for example and there was a great deal of negativity, but, whilst the game may not be as good as other titles in the series, my son and work colleagues thought it was really decent.
