It's funny, when 3 was shown off some at Blizzard were fairly contemptuous of people who complained it seemed to bright and colourful. They even put in a rainbow filled my little pony Easter egg level to make fun of them.

Seems they may have changed their mind on what atmosphere suits Diablo best :)

Looks fine, no complaints about the graphics or art style here. It's the itemisation and post-end game content that I'm most nervous about; those are two of the key areas that they completely screwed up with Diablo III. I'm just hoping beyond hope that they learnt from their failings and draw on things that made Diablo II so amazing.

looks like trash again, pretty sad considering how beautiful other games in the same style can look (Lost Ark for example) Oh well, i hope it's at least fun this time. The 3rd didn't even come close to the 2nd game. So much so I sold it.

Agreed, I feel they went to WoW graphics for D3, made it look too childish and cartoony in my opinion. Couldn’t get into it. D2 art style was great.

Exactly. I think they do that out of laziness. The low detail cartoon look makes it easy for them to make. So I'm sure they are just taking the easy way out with this as they do all their games.

It looks great, but I don't like MMO aspect of it, all those people in my world for public events like Destiny. I don't know. It will be expensive as hell with additional expansion sets in the future. If they decide to do cross play and I assume they will, even tho they said they will not, I might pick this up to play with my long time Diablo fan PC buddy.

I feel like these environments are uninteresting and drab. Not much art direction. DIII Had some cool locations. Not that all of DIII was fully of uniqueness. It still had its a fair share of great level art. I hope as we see more from this game that shines through. So far...eh pretty generic.

2021 launch I'm guessing, or will it be like D3 from 08-2012 ugh & look how that turned out, I just hope they've got the pillars figured out, please figure them out in the baking process and not when you need to pull it out the oven uncooked.
