Most competitive games that have confirmed support for keyboard and mouse have also said they plan to have separate matchmaking dedicated to k/m or controller users.
I think Gears 4 is the only major game that has cross platform competitive gameplay atm, and it started off as a beta thing before seemingly being underused or not too unbalanced at least (gameplay in it isn’t the same as a regular FPS however). I doubt Halo Infinite will be throwing controller users in that world day 1 either, and is more likely to stay that way too as the bunny hop shooters see a big boost compared to most other titles (controllers usually having jump defaulted to face buttons which requires you to either jump or change camera but not both at the same without changing to something like bumper jumping—or holding the controller really weird which some can train themselves to do but I’ll never even attempt).
Who is this for? I mean, for the price of an xbox1x and this gear, you could by a comparable computer that would do a whole lot more.
