China recently decided to implement strict regulations for video games that are currently playable in its market and the result is that Fortnite and PUBG are allegedly in the line to get banned.

Holy Crap!

Look at all of the different reasons for all of the games.

China clearly is never going to get a multiplayer or AAA game again if these hold.
Those consumers over there helpless to this decision. I would be so pissed.

At least chinese teens are saved from eternal virginity playing Fortnite

DarkkMinion1999d ago

Agree. Fortnite=Population Control.

Twinblade1999d ago

probably something they need since they have like, over a billion people.

nommers1999d ago

So...maybe for the best over in China since they have a population crisis to the point where there were laws made for number of children allowed per couple.

Daeloki1998d ago

You'd think China would encourage teens to play Fortnite in that case :D

AnubisG1998d ago

That's not a bad thing in China. Their populations is dangerously high.

Those consumers over there have got a lot more problems than video game censorship, I couldn't care less for what the Chinese tech elite get's to play in their Orwellian cities while their less fortunate friends die in slave factories working for companies like apple and working in the fields barely getting enough to eat.

kevinsheeks1999d ago (Edited 1999d ago )

those apple working conditions literally had employees killing themselves i think they had to create somesort of blockade so employees couldn't jump to their deaths .

here it is

2011
In May 2011 Foxconn erects nets around its Shenzhen factory buildings, designed to prevent suicide jumps. A PR firm, Burson-Marsteller, is hired to deal with negative publicity. The nets seem to work, with fewer suicides reported after they go up, but at least four employees die by throwing themselves from buildings.

.. I can't begin to imagine what they go through, and they'll hire someone to deal with negative publicity but won't give workers better working conditions -.-

it's probaby to the point now when someone jumps foxcon comes out "NOOO THAT WAS NOT OUR BUILDING IT WAS THE ONE NEXT TO US PLS LEAVE US ALONE EVERYONE IS HAPPY HERE . .HIM NO HE ISN'T BLEEDING THAT'S KETCHUP ON HIS HANDS HE WAS EATING A BURGER NO MORE QUESTIONS"

Sounds like a Communist country ...

pinkcrocodile751998d ago

Sigh...

Americans and their knee jerk reaction to socialism.

I'm not advocating one way or the other but capitalism on steroids it's good for a country when the president decides to push for nationalism.

As for China, I'm not Chinese, I'm Welsh, so I don't give a f@ck

fiveby91998d ago

@pinkcrocodile75

Sigh...

Knee jerk reaction? Gimme a break. Moral relativism at it's finest.

Socialism is an economic principle. The article speaks to an ethics board making these recommendations which is not economic principle. The end of the article also states this is unconfirmed as it was translated from a Reddit post. I seriously wonder if this will be implemented, enforced, or is even true.

If true though, It's clearly interesting to see that this is why Blizzard made the mobile Diablo Immortal game ' family friendly' for all ages. They mine as well make it a Lego Diablo game.

Censorship is so incredibly dumb. Then again it's China.

kneon1999d ago

Well they have a point about "inharmonious chatroom." Nobody wants to deal with toxic idiots while gaming, except perhaps other toxic idiots.

Christopher1999d ago

Let's be honest, they don't care about toxic environments, they care about environments in which they have no control over what is said nor the capability to track who is saying what.

Spartacus101999d ago

Censorship is even more dumb when people vote for it to be forced on them.
Screw the EU and their copyright plans. Brexit means Brexit.

BrettAwesome1998d ago (Edited 1998d ago )

What are you talking about? And screw the EU? Well, fuck the UK and your shitty little wannabe "empire". Scotland should be allowed to leave the UK because you fucked them so hard. They only voted to remain in the UK because they wanted certainty they could remain in the EU

Spartacus101998d ago

@BrettAwesome
The EU is an empire. Britain is a democracy.
Let me freshen your memory. We had a DEMOCRATIC referendum on brexit. The result was to leave. Scotland had a DEMOCRATIC referendum on independence. The result was to remain.

So just get over it. Your SJW act will only work on a channel 4 interview. On the internet, you're just another loser (not indented as an insult, you actually did have 2 referendums go against you).

Thundercat771998d ago

Selecting Donald Trump for president is very dumb. Then again it's USA.

The point is... We cannot judge them.

Well I'm glad I don't live in China.

MIDNIITE_Z3RO1999d ago

I'm glad my bro decided not to move to China. He would go insane without his PUBG.

RedDevils1998d ago

It's seem you bro is mentally ill, if he couldn't live without PUBG
