This is exactly what i was afraid of with PSVR, fast forward to 8:18

https://www.youtube.com/wat...

The hardware is what is limiting the game. Everything from tracking with the headset to the narrow scope of the game to the terrible A.I. Sure it's probably fun in some areas because of the VR novelty but once again the actual game seems very shallow.

Gazondaily2570d ago

Well terrible AI is a software issue but yeah the tracking etc seems to be a problem.

I do hope VR doesn't end up being a novelty. This E3 will be very indicative of whether PSVR will deliver or be relegated to novelty status like previous peripherals.

Bathyj2570d ago

I thought what you were afraid of is that people would like it.

Yes just continue cherry picking the negatives and ignoring the positives like the immersion and control that can't be replicated in any other format. You're ridiculous.

DaGreatOne2570d ago

"There’s also a wide variety of foes that behave intelligently in combat, and big levels that encourage you to pop from cover to cover as your enemies gain ground and try to flank you."

Just out of curiosity if the reviewer that actually played the game says this, where does your comment about dumb AI come from?

Knushwood Butt2570d ago

Do you even play games, or just sit spamming n4g?

Neonridr2570d ago (Edited 2570d ago )

agree about the tracking issues, which is why PSVR pales compared to the Rift and Vive sadly. They can freely offer 360 experiences while the PSVR is really a 180 only. The headset offers 360, but as soon as the move controllers are blocked by the camera, good-bye tracking.

So having enemies constantly staying in front of you is sort of weird and silly. But thus is the limitations we must deal with currently.

Funny the usual suspects high jacking faopoint reviews.
Can't wait to play the game. Dam amazon. Well at least they give a voucher for their delay but still.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen2570d ago

It's a decent game. It's not spectacular, but it's better than some of the other games that have been coming out for PSVR recently.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen2570d ago

Maybe those of you who don't have PSVR should consider not commenting when it's clear you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

On topic.
It's intense. The gunplay is great. The shooting is accurate. It's not amazing or anything, but it is on par with Until Dawn Rush of Blood.

@SoloKingxRobert
You can adjust the movement in the settings menu. I'm using the click to turn settings and I have the turn speed on 7. It works. No nausea, no dizziness, nothing.

i didnt even know there was a leak ha.

Relientk7711h ago

This is news to me. I had no idea the games from the State of Play got leaked.

Jin_Sakai3h ago

I seen the list posted and instantly got excited for Astro Bot. Everything else was meh.

CrimsonWing694h ago

I’m pretty sure leaks or not, by the end of the show people will still be disappointed. The only highlight for me was MH: Wilds… everything else was mid to forgettable. Hope them HaaS games you got lined up really work out for you, Sony. Everyone asking for Bloodborne Remake, Wolverine, and, uh, well other games like that could’ve made this epic. Instead we get Concord, some derivative Souls-like games, that were fine looking, and a Silent Hill 2 Remake with horrible character designs and janky combat animations… great.

rayford153h ago

I wasn’t disappointed it was a solid B

TOTSUKO1h ago

For a State of play it was actually alright. People are overshadowing it because they want to cancel Sony to high hell for Gaas which is not fair for the other devs who revealed great looking games that were just shown. I get it you don’t like gaas don’t buy it. If it sells well good for the people who had interest no big deal? If you are a PlayStation fan what’s wrong with PlayStation trying to cater every gamer? I don’t understand that smh

ravens522h ago

Where Winds Meet and Ballad of Antara both looked good. Not to mention Astro Bot. It was a decent show. For me personally it was a 7. I'm sure to some people it was actually really good cause they'd play all those games. 🤷🏽 Personal taste

MrNinosan1h ago

I wasn't dissapointed.
And no, everyone doesn't want a Bloodborne Remake. There is probably very few who's actually asking for it, but the ones who do are loud on internet.

CrimsonWing691h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Oh, my mistake. It’s definitely not one of the most requested games when it comes to remakes with news stories talking about it 🙄

Silly me. It’s just a very few that are actually wanting it…
