Console players love to get their digs in, I suppose in retaliation to PCMR assholes, however, I'll just go a bit low myself and make a prediction - If R* doesn't release RDR 2 for PC at launch, you can bet that PC players will get the superior version. sometime in the near future just like what happened with GTA V. Truthfully, I would want everyone to have the opportunity to play as many great games as possible, this is why R* potentially excluding a very large playerbase on PC combined with certain console players spewing unneeded insults like they're 12 years old is counterproductive and only hurts gaming in the long-run.

I'm not entirely surprised Rockstar rarely releases games on three platforms I would say Max Payne 3 was one of the few games they released on three platforms simultaneously.

I actually think that was only because the team developing Max Payne 3 is also the team that worked on all their PC titles so I believe it was probably easier for them to create the PC title continuously.

I'm completely fine with them focusing on two platforms let them worry about the PC version later as I think they did an amazing job with GTA 5 that should do a great job with red dead if they ever bring it to PC.

You do know that almost everything that is made for Xbox will run on PC in the future correct? Xbox One will eventually just run the games in lower setting while Skorpio will run them at almost Max if not Max and PC will run them at Max for sure if you have the right rig.

I'm wondering if it was ready to be released this year but they decided to hold off til next year because they are raking in so much cash from GTA5 each month. They didn't want to compete with it. By next year they will have more fully milked that cow and then they will release RDR2. It's the same reason we never got a single player DLC for Gta5.

it is correct that people still call that Red Dead 3 considering it was the third of the Red Dead games but clearly Rockstar want them let fans know that it is definitely a sequel to redemption in regards to the storyline and narrative and possibly the characters so I think it is correct that they call it 2.

I would say it has everything to do with exactly what the game is actually even going to be about , in fact I would say it would make more sense if it had brand new characters to just call it Red Dead subtitle but if they're going to make this a direct sequel they are right to have a 2 in it none of us really know what the game is going to be about to really say what the name should be other than Rockstar themselves.

I can't make Rockstar change their minds about what platforms they release the game on. All I could do was sign the petition to let them know that they should. However in the event that there is no PC version if PC gamers really want to play the game they should buy a console. Consoles are relatively cheap and I'm pretty sure a PC gamer who drops several grand into a computer can afford one.

In truth even when I've had consoles I barely played them because I mostly game on my PC, so they became a waste of money in that sense. The last consoles I played that much were PS1, N64 and then Dreamcast, quite a bit on the original Xbox, after that when I got a 360 is when I hardly played them and got much more into PC gaming.

Since it's Red Dead Redemption 2, it's clearly got ties with the first game and not a separate story (I.e. Revolver).

It's surely going to be about John's gang during the golden years of the West; the guy one right from centre is clearly Bill Williamson and a few of em look like they could be Marston or perhaps Dutch, so it's likely to be a story around their glory days I'd say. Maybe you won't helm Marston though, but another gang member. Or perhaps they'll go the way they did with GTAV and have you play as the different gang members at will, allowing epic sequences such as train robberies similar to the heists in GTA.

That 4K will be 30fps though no doubt, obviously I don't speak for everyone but I personally would prefer a lower resolution at a solid 60fps or even higher if you have the monitor (100hz+) to support it, since it makes a big difference to smoothness.

I seriously doubt this game will be 60fps on any console. Open world games are tough to reach that mark.
If a console can do it though, it'll be Xbox Scorpio. All about that Zen and Vega.

B.S. when the PC gets a release it's curtains for any other platform and these are facts. Mods alone will bring the PC ver. above the other two platforms. It would be nice if everyone could play though, regardless of which is better, as long as the game is good, runs well and again, we ALL get the opportunity to play it, without the need of shelling out a few hundred $$$ for a console or waiting a year. R* business practices are leaving a lot to be desired of late.

Amazing news! Rockstar delivers quality and a ton of content so there is a reason they are praised - and in my book they are more than PERMITTED to charge for extra content because initial content is a full game bursting at the seams. Rockstar does us right; they've not let us down yet.

This generation has been in dying need of more good and FULL games. There have been exceptional games such as the Witcher 3 and Uncharted, and I know I am leaving out some other worthy games but publishers need to deliver full content on day one THEN they can charge for other stuff. I am still not paying $120 for Battlefield 1.

I could not be more pleased with this announcement.

Well, if it actually launches in the fall of '17, a year wait isn't that bad. Look at games like The last guardian as one example with plenty other games that announce 2-4 years before release. With that in mind, it's a matter of perspective. A year will fly by before you know it.

sometime from the mid 1890s to 1906(when John Marston left Dutch's gang).

Well I think we don't play as Jack based on the teaser image that rockstar put out, and the fact that Red Dead Redemption 1 took place in 1911 (This was considered the last year of the wild west, before all states were created and everything was becoming industrialized).

Can't wait for this. I actually enjoyed about 70% of RDR more than any other GTA game I played. I can't say I enjoyed all of it better, but RDR is IMO, Rockstar's best overall game and I think they could expand a ton from the last game.

PC gamers should know by now R* don't care what you people think... Either RDR 2 will follow the path of RDR and give PC a miss or it will follow the path of GTAV and release around 2019 or so... So if you abuse them or write petitions , trust me it wont work with R*, they gonna ignore straight away.. As a gamer i know R* does things on their own terms.. IF they feel RDR2 deserve to be on PC it will happen ...
