Sony has been sending out a survey to get feedback on creating the "greatest playstation experience", based on the latest report.

I agree with Lightening here. The narrative that Sony isn't releasing games on the same pace as previous gens is objectively incorrect.

and even though sony isnt releasing as much as last gen, they are still releasing WAY more than the competitors. Literally stellar blade just came out, and before that was Rise of ronin and ff7 rebirth as well as a bunch of others. How many dang games you want?

stellar Blade just released I'm currently enjoying that game. Don't be in a rush for games Sony has released a good amount since October.

Plus they still have their showcase possibly this month.

with the success of Helldivers 2, I can see Warhawk would be able to garner the same level of success too using the same model. and while they let maybe Bluepoint to remaster and Nixxes to port it to PC, let other studios cook some smaller SP games. this focus on AAA to AAAA only games is starting to feel like gaming aren't what it suppose to be anymore

I don’t mind spending 80 for a great single player game, I worked hard for 34 years to have a good retirement and enjoy what I like. Life is to short. I found that out with my health. So don’t put off till tomorrow it may never happen

Sony might do GaaS much, much better than everybody else. Time will tell if another studio can replicate Arrowhead’s setup with HD2.

Live service works best when you have a lower cost of entry and the monetization schemes are very much optional.

For their own sake, don't flood the market with them and put the budget into the gameplay loop, not the visuals and production values.

I wouldn't say there's support and warmth for them. More than anything, I think people accept that developers are not going to let them go. You're absolutely right in saying it was very much a moment of success, but the point we can make is that there is a right way to do these types of games if they're going to exist.

A better return policy would be great for starters, steam is light-years ahead of them on that. Another thing would be not turning on automatic renew for plus everytime you buy it, that's very sneaky. They should also have much more demos, when did they become a rarity ?

I think this might be a controversial take but I don't really like the direction Sony has been going over the last year. Kinda GaaS-ey, and not championing these amazing new first party IPs like they use to.

My suspicion is that Microsoft's acquiescence from the market will now allow Sony to become a bit lazy. The reason the PS3 turned out to be such a beautiful, beautiful console was that the 360 had serious momentum in its first year or so and was a legitimate contender. In 2024, there's only one show in town and it's PlayStation

Sick of a repeat of PS4 generation remasters and franchises use some older franchises in exception of Bloodborne/Ghost Of Tsushima sequel and stop with the censorship.

Bring back Resistance even as a remaster 1 was one of my favorite games that generation. Publish some JRPGs like you did in the PS2 era such as Level-5 games .

A remake/remaster of Resistance: Fall of Man would be awesome
Was expecting a Killzone Mercenary 2 to come to PS4/5, maybe that could still happen.

Not sure what Sony's issue with Bloodborne is, not getting a PS4 Pro patch was weird. I figure either they're secretly working on a remake/remaster, prequel/sequel (PS6 launch title?) or there's some internal Sony politics against the game we don't know about.
