This RTX 4060 gaming PC just got a discount that makes it cheaper than an RTX 4080

Don't waste thousands of dollars on a graphics card. Grab this MSI RTX 4060 gaming PC deal instead so you can get a pre-built PC immediately.

purple10141d ago

il save you a click,.its $999

ps5pro for the win at $499 me thinks

Sgt_Slaughter40d ago

PS5 Pro doesn't exist yet, and what games are even coming out to warrant closing yourself off to PlayStation-only? Might as well spend the extra money and have a much more expansive ecosystem and a large back-log (along with a handful of PS exclusives that are on PC anyway).

purple10140d ago (Edited 40d ago )

Just GTA6, that one game alone, is enough

But il also enjoy ghost of tushima 2 with higher settings than base ps5

I agree with your points also though

anast40d ago

That expansive eco-system is rent only, unless you want to play old games on GoG.

JackBNimble40d ago

We don't even know when Gta6 is coming out, and are you really saying that the claim of better ray tracing and hopefully another 30 fps is worth justifying a pro?
You might as well build a PC, that way you can have full control of when and how you're going to upgrade.

Einhander197240d ago (Edited 40d ago )

JackBNimble Sgt_Slaughter

The PS5 Pro may be half the price of this PC and more than twice the TF of a 15TF 4060.

Not to mention people have their whole game collection on PS5 including a fantastic subscription. And just like playing PS4 games is better on PS5 because they have more stable framerates and higher resolution. Virtually every single game this generation has used dynamic resolution scaling, those games will already benefit from PS5 Pro, PS5 Pro already has hundreds of games that will benefit. And future games will just have the "fidelity mode" unlocked for PS5 Pro. PS5 Pro will be extremely easy to develop for.

And GTA 6 is not going to be 30 FPS on the Pro, that is a lie, ir will 100% have graphics modes... it's not a Microsoft game....

The PS5 Pro is going to be the best deal in gaming #dealwithit.

Skuletor40d ago

@Einhander

Wouldn't the best deal be an Xbox Series S and Gamepass?

@anast GOG doesn’t just have old games anymore , though. Baldur’s Gate 3, for example, came out on GOG the same day as the Steam version, and it’s totally DRM free, unlike the PS5 version. Actually, the Steam version of BG3 is also DRM free and Steam has nearly 1200 DRM free games, not to mention that digital AND disc-based games alike *do* have DRM on PlayStation. You also have your online play and cloud saves locked behind a paid subscription while those things are totally free on Steam and every other platform on PC.

For the record, I’m both a PC & console gamer and I own a PS5, and both have their strengths and weaknesses, but you juvenile PS5 console fanboy trolls that proliferate in the comments section of this site are cringe AF. Especially because you clearly don’t understand how modern technology and game distribution works; DRM is something that affects ALL of us.

Einhander197240d ago (Edited 40d ago )

Anast is clearly talking about digital only on PC, disk games don't even exist on PC.

And your talking down to PlayStation owners, you seem angry that people like their consoles, and you did the thing that everyone does on the internet, oh I have a console so therefore my criticism is beyond reproach and I am better than you... And from my experience the majority of the time people say something like that they are lying.

GhostMirror40d ago

Right, so that’s your argument? I’m lying about having a PlayStation? 🙄 Believe whatever you want, dude. I’m not speaking down to PlayStation owners in general, just the fanboys trolls. and I said what I said to make a point. That’s the second time I’ve seen that same person troll a thread in an article that was about discount on a gaming PC and wasn’t talking about PlayStation at all by spewing some BS about only being able to rent games on PC. I detest PC master race nonsense just as much as console fanboy-ism, but nobody said anything negative about PlayStation here until the fanboys showed up and started instigating for no good reason. Maybe don’t dish it out if you can’t take it? Or—better yet—just get a life and don’t be a fanboy troll in the first place. This isn’t a sporting event; you don’t have to pick a side and cheerlead for it.

Skuletor40d ago

I have a bunch of PC games on disc

VincentVanBro40d ago

MSI uses off the shelf parts so they’re pretty alright. It’s a decent deal I guess.

mkis00740d ago

Just in case anyone cares. Costco currently has a 1600 pc build with a 4070 super and i7 14700f...ive priced it out and its actually cheaper to buy this than build it yourself by at least 200$

ocelot0740d ago

Anyone in the UK looking for something for 1080p/1440p and wants something with a upgrade path for the next few years.

How EA & Xbox Are Defining Gaming's Bleak Future

Xbox and EA have recently made baffling moves that define how bleak the future of the gaming industry is with major companies at the helm. Ryan Bates from "Last Word on Gaming" posits in this op-ed that maybe it's not ineptitude, but intention.

Name someone that isn't trying to look us these days maybe cdpr.

Take two, ubi and yes even PlayStation are pushing us to own nothing and be happy with our live service ad injected games on a sub so they can raise prices at will and take access away when they see fit.

If it keeps up I'll be a full time retro gamer and this industry will be crashing hard

As rediculas as it sounds we need government reforms to defend consumer rights

Microsoft's quest for short-term $$$ is doing long-term damage to Windows, Surface, Xbox, and beyond

Microsoft is pushing for no "red line" for what games could come to PlayStation, and it all revolves around Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood's plans to increase every department's margins.

"The plan to move Xbox games to other platforms is codenamed "Latitude" internally, and I know there's debate and unease at Microsoft about whether or not this is a good idea. More upcoming Microsoft-owned games slated for PlayStation are already being developed. At least for now, they're potentially obvious games you'd most likely expect. And yes, while it's true Microsoft is a prolific publisher on PlayStation already, it has typically revolved around specific franchises like Minecraft. From what I've heard, Microsoft is pushing for no "red line" for what games could come to PlayStation, and it all revolves around Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood's mandate to increase every department's margins. "

Yeah, they are going to kill Xbox hardware.

"Yeah, they are going to kill Xbox hardware."

It's for the best.

Quit stringing along xbox fans and screwing over PlayStation owners.

Take good care of those Xboxes if you have 'em ...

An Xbox game on a Playstation. Never in my years of gaming did i ever thought this was gonna happen.

jznrpg1d 20h ago

It is dying anyway so doesn’t make much of a difference

VersusDMC1d 20h ago

No way can they get rid of the hardware as probably 90% of game pass subscribers are hardware users.

Highly doubtful those users will move to PC or Cloud to subscribe there and the competition (Sony and Nin) will never have gamepass on their system.

If they want to keep the current subscribers, they need to keep releasing new hardware.

PSPSA1d 11h ago

I'm not convinced, why then announce that they're actually working on the next-generation Xbox with “the largest technical leap”, and also looking into handhelds now?

Rols1d 10h ago

Not like MS don’t drop things a hot potato if it is not performing. Look at MS history to see products or platforms discontinued. Xbox is not a charity for MS, it needs to make money and the ABK was the last roll of the dice for Xbox.

purple1011d 9h ago

Xbox hardware team members have been incorporated into surface team

This perhaps shows they are not expecting big things from Xbox as a separate entity

Abear211d 6h ago

Seems like they are planning to win next gen. All the acquisitions were this generation and nobody except Xbox fans expect games from the acquisitions any time soon.

I’m sure Microsoft can afford to lose money on the short term, pretty sure they do risk assessment when acquiring many companies and spending billions, they’ll be fine lol.

i think it will kill off the xbox brand. windows will be fine.

but there is and would be a chance that xbox might be killed off in the future. if they fail to make the money they put in. imo.

S2Killinit2d ago

They wont kill it, but they will go fully PC while keeping xbox as a brand, and go multiplatform for the most part. They will also work tirelessly to diminish console gaming’s importance.

PRIMORDUS2d ago

It would be best if Xbox goes the way of Sega, just make and publish games. I know I myself will not support them at all with buying games from them, you all can. 🙃

ChasterMies1d 23h ago

The Xbox brand will live for the games. I don’t expect Microsoft to entirely drop out of gaming hardware. They make Surface tablets and laptops. They’ll make Xbox branded hardware for those that want it.

"Microsoft is pushing for no "red line" for what games could come to PlayStation"

Forza and Starfield next?

Skuletor2d ago

Starfield would be no surprise and there's the rumor that it will come to Playstation after the Shattered Space DLC, Forza (along with Halo and Gears of War) I find less likely but I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually end up on PlayStation too, especially if Xbox give up on hardware and go the Sega route.

shinoff21832d ago

Not to worried about forza. I'd rather see others like what inxile and obsidian are working on. Starfield sounds like it needs more time in the oven so let it cook first imo. If starfield and it's a small if does release on ps it'll be in the fall around the time for dlc or right at the dlc and come packaged with it.

-Foxtrot2d ago

In the words of Phil Spencer when he was talking about Nintendo last year

“It's just taking a long time for Microsoft to see that their future exists off of their own hardware"

S2Killinit2d ago

Yup. MS are a cancer to console gaming.

Aloymetal2d ago

100%!!
I wonder what happened to that dude that was always here posting those court articles with cartoons about MS spending all those billions in studios. He suddenly disappeared, I guess he doesn't like bad news when the green brand is in trouble. No new articles from him as of late...

PRIMORDUS2d ago

Yup, and it's only going to keep spreading.
