Strictly talking about the Megami Tensei series

Given that SMT5 is going multiplatform this June, my prediction is that all future Atlus SMT titles will get a multiplatform release. Can't say for sure if titles like SMTIV/IV: Final will get an updated release or something but the future of SMT seems very likely to NOT be exclusive to Nintendo hardware.

I have been port begging for awhile for an HD version so it is a day one from me on PS5 even though i have the switch version. Hope it's as polished as P3Reload.

I think this looks cool. I've never played an SMT game before, and I've only recently been getting into the Persona games - my first being P4G on the Vita. P5R is one of my all time favourite RPGs, and I'm currently playing P3R on my PS5 and loving it. I never did play this back on the PS2 so P3R is the first time I've ever played P3, and you're right it's very polished and very stylish, as Persona games tend to be. In spite of the graphical upgrades it does betray it's 2006 roots in some areas though.

I've got SMT V on my wishlist.

I only played SMTIII and i kinda meh on it due to very confusing puzzles and random encounters.

SMTV is different as it has a open world to navigate. And as Persona player you should know that SMTV has no dating sim or alot of story compared to P5. There are choices that affect the ending but I remember one or 2.

What 2006 roots were betrayed?

I almost buy this game on switch, good thing I resisted. Now I can finally play the enhanced version on PS5.
