Multiplayer party shooter headlines February’s lineup.
Foamstars latest season, Future Funk, is now available for all players to enjoy. - IS
With uninspiring gameplay, hollow live service, platform restrictions, and being outclassed by Helldivers 2, Foamstars didn't stand a chance.
Played Foamstars for about 10 minutes, the presentation made it feel like game made for teenagers. All fluff and no substance.
This game was doomed from the start. Square's gaas track record is atrocious. They often times call it quits on these titles within the first year. Hard to get excited knowing that fact. Anyone half way paying attention to this avoided the game like the plague for that very reason.
Square Enix: "Why are we losing money? Why won't gamers buy our games in huge numbers? What's going on?"
Also Square Enix: *Forspoken, Foamstars, Babylon's Fall, mobile shit, makes limited FF Pixel Remaster copies for the PS4*
Earlier today Foamstars entered its third season, Mysterious Swing, which adds Foamstar Chloe Noir, and 20 new skins. - IS
having this coming to PlayStation plus is a good move i had no interest playing it but since its coming to PlayStation plus i might check it out.
I generally dislike multiplayer games launching with Plus, they hit it big with Fall Guys but since then I can't think of any that have really worked
People who played the demo said it was fun but visually too clustered.
A smart move. PS+ subscribers may check the game out now, if it wasn't for that I doubt anyone would have paid to play Foamstars including the fact that the game is a PS platform exclusive. Meaning people on other gaming platforms can't play the game.
Don't think it'll do too well in an over saturated multiplayer shooter market but going to PS Plus at launch is a great move to try and get those numbers.
Hopefully it does enough to distinguish itself from every other battle pass ridden pvp game out there.
