Remnant 2 Comes In Two Discs On Xbox Series X, Unlike The PS5 Version

The Xbox Series X version of Remnant 2 comes in two separate discs, unlike the single-disc PlayStation 5 version of the game.

It's a big game, sure, but also poorly optimized in every way.

Rude-ro293d ago

No it is not.
Do not make excuses.
The game is beautiful, bountiful, and runs true.
Small bugs? Yes… but nothing close to game breaking

GameBoyColor293d ago

it gets fuzzy and stutters in some areas for me on PS5. If a 4090 on pc isn't hitting 60fps 4k then soemthing has to be wrong with the game tbh.

For reference Im running a 4090 and can do rdr2 ultra 4k at near locked 120fps.

DankSinatra293d ago (Edited 293d ago )

Optimization doesn't mean it's buggy. It means it's not utilizing hardware as it should. This was proven when an rtx 4090 couldn't do 4k60 without Ray tracing. This isn't THAT good looking of a game and it's not that big. The team is utilizing a new engine they're not too familiar with.

The Xbox just isn't the place to play.

Abracadabra293d ago (Edited 293d ago )

So much fuss that a game comes in one or two disks...
I don't have a console, but doesn't the PS5 and Xbox Series copy the complete game to the Hard Drive before being allowed to play it? If that's so, it's irrelevant if the game comes in one or two disks.

phoenixwing293d ago

this is some pretty dumb fanboying if you act like having two discs makes a difference for consoles when it's all on the ssd anyway. this is coming from a playstation biased user.

Hmm.... seems kind of odd they would use regular bd instead of uhd in this case. The media it ships on can have different pricing based on the platform/qty. Like if they were pressing more PS5 discs, UHD was probably cheaper at certain quantities where as if they only needed to make so many copies for SX then regular BD would be cheaper.

Eonjay293d ago

Yup there is clearly some kind of logistics behind it.

SonyStyled293d ago

Apparently some do. There was a lot of inconvenience type complaints with multi discs on the 360 so it’s not something new

CrimsonWing69293d ago (Edited 293d ago )

What’s to complain about? It’s not like you swap them out in the middle of playing like the 360 era. FF7 Remake on PS4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were 2 discs, never saw any complaints on that. There’s literally no inconvenience. It’s an installation and you’re done. Geezus…

FF7 Rebirth on PS5 is going to be 2 discs:

We gonna get a bunch of “complaints of inconvenience” on that now? What the hell is with people complaining about the smallest and most insignificant things possible?

Rimeskeem293d ago

I think it's more telling of the tech involved with the PS5 compared to Series.

darthv72293d ago

Not really... see my comment above

babadivad293d ago

Literally has nothing to do with it...

I’m getting this on PS5, looks so cool!

I like the game a lot. I would like the outside world to be a little more detailed open and varied but overall it’s a really good game and I understand they are limited by their budget and team size. For a lower priced game it’s worth more than they charge
