Lol.

Dude, how can you expect reveals for first party games if MS had made it clear that Inside Xbox livestream on May 7 is all about third party games?

Hyped, excited and fingers crossed for an Elden Ring gameplay reveal. I´m also interested to see how "brutal" Assassins Creed combat will be. XD

porkChop1473d ago

Elden Ring would be great to see. I really want to see how AC looks on SX as well.

Sprucegoose771473d ago

I think it's going to look sick!

UltraNova1473d ago

Elden Ring all the way. Nothing will come close afaic.

I_am_Batman1472d ago (Edited 1472d ago )

Elden Ring is my most anticipated game by far, but isn't this a next-gen focused showcase? As far as I know Elden Ring has only been announced for current gen so far.

porkChop1472d ago

@batman

You're right. It's only been announced for current gen. But at this point it would be more surprising if it didn't get released on next gen systems as well.

It's always better to see games actually playing on hardware be it xbox or ps. Let's hope they look stunning. I'm still on the fence, I'm defo leaning to ps5 first then then buy xbx series x. But it's the games that will do it for me so m$ better have some nice games coming, I know these are all third party games on 7th, I'm just saying.

monkey6021473d ago

I'm planning on buying the PS5 not the Xbox but I'm also really looking forward to this event on the 7th

angelsx1473d ago

First i'm buying PS5 and if there's xbox sx game that got my attention i'm gonna get xbox sx as well.

Nu1473d ago

Hi, State of Decay 3 will say hi!

neutralgamer19921473d ago

Best way to show what your console can do is by showing a racing title. So maybe a teaser of sort for Forza.

I know they said this will be a 3rd party event but it wouldn't surprise me if we saw few teasers from 1st party games

alb18991473d ago

I'm looking forward to see what old games will run 120fps and 4K on the SX.

A showing of cross gen multi-plats.

shiva11473d ago

Its better to see something than nothing at all. Any gamer in this world will really be happy to see something being announced and see gameplay rather than ranting in comments.

Elda1473d ago

LMAO!! You're offended at my comment that's stating the truth. MS/XB stated that on May 7th they were showing 3rd party games. Smh.

Silly gameAr1473d ago

She's not ranting. MS is going to show stuff that will be on other consoles or the PC. Is it so bad to want to see something that will only be on the xbox series x?

Feedog61473d ago

Multi plats that will look and run better on XSX!

SyntheticForm1473d ago

It may be stating the truth, but it was meant to be a dig, and it was meant to rouse. The responses rebuking your comment are warranted.

@Silly

Of course it's not wrong to want to see exclusives, but it's been known for awhile now that this won't be the case. As you know, she's not innocently stating her desire to see exclusives. Your sword and shield act are as disingenuous as her comments.

Elda1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

You sound silly as hell. How does "A showing of cross gen multi-plats" a dig? or meant to rouse? You & others taking a truthful comment as Shade evidently has some type of insecure hang ups.

SyntheticForm1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

@Elda

If you need added context, such as your history of low-brained 'lmao' comments aimed at Xbox and the like, then I could simply bring up your comment history.

I was supporting Shiva's reply to your transparent one liner - if you want to call that "insecurity" in a hail mary attempt to gain the high ground, I'm afraid that won't work.

This may even be the third time you've repeated that comment.

Elda1473d ago

You can take my comment as you see fit or as you like but the truth is the light & on May 7th all MS/XB will be demonstrating are cross gen multi-plats. As I know at their next showing they'll be showing off some of their first party titles. Sorry if you thought I offended your girlfriend. LOL!!

SyntheticForm1473d ago

@Elda

As I see fit? How about as it is. You're caught. I backed myself up, but you can't do the same for yourself. You've repeated the same ("truth") thing multiple times and laughed about it.

This not about 'merely stating the truth' - it is about mockery and desire to agitate, and that's been shown. You haven't offended me - you couldn't. I just wanted to support the correct individual in the exchange.

Elda1473d ago

Now I'm caught? LMFAO!! Caught up in your madness of BS. You hypocrites are a mess.

DJStotty1473d ago

@Elda

At least we are getting gameplay of next-gen games, all we have seen from the competition is a white controller, so at least Xbox fans are getting something.

remixx1161472d ago

@synthetic

Your really wasting your breath and intellect bro, just skip over it cuz you ain't changing the opinions of those who feel gratification from belittling that which they view as an opposing force to their preferred brand.

I'm a PS guy but I can't wait to see what the XSX is going to show even if it's multiplayer cuz I'm a gamer first and foremost above all else.

Traecy1473d ago

Tracking down someone's history over a comment that's basically true seems trivial & petty. You ladies need to get a grip & a life.

SyntheticForm1473d ago

@Traecy

I knew what was there would be there. I didn't need to view her comment history, but I wanted to provide evidence to support my claims - claims that she's not being genuine and is indeed trying to rouse.

So, I provided that evidence. That isn't being petty - it's being thorough and backing up my claims with said evidence.

I've got a firm grip, son, don't you worry.

Traecy1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

No you were being petty. People can make whatever comments they choose as long as they're not being disrespectful or personally attacking you per se. Their comment was the truth nor were they attacking you personally though you took it as such. No disrespect but what you did was juvenile. Some of you on this site need to get a grip.

SyntheticForm1473d ago

@Traecy

I could just as easily put a "petty" label on you. After all, you're here, pontificating and telling people to "get a grip" and acting like you're above it all, when you've just thrown yourself into the exchange. See how that makes you look?

Also, if she has the right to repeatedly state her "truth", which has been evidenced and verified as not genuine, then I have a right to reply in support of whomever I like. We're arguing, and nobody has been attacked.

Don't attempt to spin the scenario as a type of unwarranted assault in dramatic fashion.

Traecy1473d ago

You got an attitude now because I called you out on your pettiness & you trying to be a bully. Take your dose of medicine like a good little girl & you spin on that just don't get yourself too dizzy. You can't come for me.

SyntheticForm1473d ago

Trying to be a bully? Bullying? That's rich. I certainly haven't "bullied" anyone, nor have I ever. You can't give me a "dose of medicine" if you're not winning the argument.

Good posters (or speakers in general) provide evidence to back up their claims when they're arguing with or debating someone - it's the right and correct thing to do. If you think that's "petty" I honestly feel a bit sorry for you.

This community is naturally petty. We all are, really. This website/community exists 'for' us to argue and 'be' petty, but it's not petty to argue a case you feel right about, and it certainly isn't petty to provide evidence to back a claim. Hell, I wish more people would do that here.

But, we're done here, because I'm done here. Hopefully you've learned a thing or two about arguing, and hopefully you cease the disingenuous "bully" talk in future arguments you claim you're above, yet throw yourself into.

starchild1473d ago

You and Elba are the ones acting petty, Traecy. Grow the hell up. Fanboyism is lame, so quit defending it.

Traecy1473d ago

You won absolutely nothing know that. I just called you out on you being petty & juvenile including being hypocritical.

"A showing of cross gen multi-plats."

So you mean 3rd party games? Exactly what has been said is being shown at the reveal?

Elda1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

Agreed. Mostly multi-plats (3rd party) that'll be on current & next gen consoles including PC.

DJStotty1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

How do you know 3rd party will be multiplatform and on PS5 or PC?

They may be a 3rd party Microsoft exclusive?

1473d ago
DarXyde1473d ago

That's why I'm interested in it. As I've said many times, I don't have much interest in Series X for a number of reasons, but it will be nice to see how next-generation titles will look.

Feedog6,

I think that seriously depends. PC variants at max settings should always do best, but let's set PC aside for a moment. PS5 seems very easy to develop for, so I actually expect developers to really be able to get as close to 100% of its performance as possible. Keep in mind that teraflops refers to THEORETICAL performance. The CPU and GPU are higher in Series X, but PS5 is the easier console to develop for. Put another way, it'll be far easier to get third party games running like first party games on PS5 and, as the "lowest common denominator", I actually expect games to look and run very similarly on both platforms. Series X will likely shine with first party titles, but I really don't expect third party developers to really specialize anything.

It's kind of like having a Dodge Challenger Hellcat (Xbox Series X) versus a BMW M2 (PS5). You may not understand the metaphor, but the Hellcat has more horsepower than an M2. What you get really depends on the type of race. If it's a drag race, Hellcat is a safe bet. But if you're talking about a regular race that's more standard, the car with far superior handling and great acceleration will get the job done with less.

I think we'll see something similar with PS5 and Xbox Series X. Neither will be definitively better--where development is more straightforward, you'll see Xbox Series X thrive...but where you have more nuance and traditional style of development? I would say the console where you can maximize performance, knowing their specs are high and not radically different (2TF difference at 10+TF seems somewhat negligible honestly) I think you'll be surprised by what comes out of PS5. I think the reason people saw the contrast between Pro and One X honestly is the resolution. Both will be native 4K machines, so I don't think you should expect much difference.

Obscure_Observer1473d ago

@DarXyde

"I think the reason people saw the contrast between Pro and One X honestly is the resolution."

It´s not.. 4K is a given for most well optimized games on the X. The real advantage comes in form of better performance at 60fps.

"Both will be native 4K machines, so I don't think you should expect much difference."

Oh, there will be much differences alright. Outside of 4K realm, Sony has a focus on immersion (New triggers), sound and faster loading times on PS5. Microsoft has a focus on performance 60-120fps, input latency (DLI) and Ray Tracing.

So no, I´m expecting those consoles to be nothing alike.

DarXyde1471d ago

Obscure_Observer,

"It´s not.. 4K is a given for most well optimized games on the X. The real advantage comes in form of better performance at 60fps."

PS4 Pro very often had 60fps modes on games. I imagine that trend will continue into next generation—options—for both consoles.

"Oh, there will be much differences alright. Outside of 4K realm, Sony has a focus on immersion (New triggers), sound and faster loading times on PS5. Microsoft has a focus on performance 60-120fps, input latency (DLI) and Ray Tracing."

We can argue that the experience itself will be different, but in terms of what's on screen, I don't. Better ray tracing on Xbox? Most likely, but I also believe such an advantage is limited to specific situations (e.g., open world titles). Anything else, probably not. I don't care to explain at length my justifications, but consider that PS5's SSD is so incredibly fast that it seriously alleviates other system resources to make things in view look truly outstanding while spending less resources rendering what is unseen.

Hear me now, quote me later, you'll be surprised by how PS5 keeps pace with Series X despite the difference.

I sometimes reference a friend of mine in the industry, and I'll do it again this time: the feeling is that Sony really didn't **** around with PS5. Not asking you to believe me, but wait a little longer. Truthfully, I don't know what to expect, but I'm told that any doubts and misconceptions would be cleared up with some patience and an understanding of technology.

Focus on great 3rd party games and that is all you need. Exclusive or not, I just want to see what Microsoft is pushing for with the Series X

littletad1473d ago

They already stated they'll have events in May for first party reveals as well. I'm looking forward to just seeing how next gen games will look, third party or not, on the 7th.

--Onilink--1473d ago

I’d rather keep my expectations in check. Most games, first or 3rd party usually arent that mindblowing in one aspect or the other in the first year or so because they have to rush to meet the launch window deadlines, regardless of console.

In particular for third parties, it will definitely be many cross gen games, which will limit the ambition for the ports even more.

And as for the reveal event itself, while Im definitely looking forward to see the new games, its still an Inside Xbox show and I cant say i’ve been a huge fan of the show’s format so far, hopefully they adapt it a bit for this event (and on that note, I cant believe how difficult it has been to match the Nintendo direct format for other companies)

Razmiran1473d ago

Not hellblade, since that is 1st party

TheScotsman1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

Exactly I'm finding it hard to figure out what to expect? New modern warfare maybe? Jesus really what else is due out lol third party wise

Razmiran1473d ago (Edited 1473d ago )

Cyberpunk maybe? Call of duty would be good guess too
Watch dogs?

SyntheticForm1473d ago

@Razmiran

Yeah, Cyberpunk sounds reasonable seeing as they haven't shown anything in awhile, and have just been introducing gangs. I could easily see that among the showings.

monkey6021473d ago

Battlefield seems more plausible than CoD I think. Also there was a new Star Wars game teased yesterday so perhaps we'll see that

The 10th Rider1473d ago

Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Assassin's Creed, Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (they seem to really be putting effort into that one), etc . . .

I could see a new Warner Bros, Ubisoft, EA, or Activision title being announced as well.
