Not the best sale but still some good choices.

Pixelift1708d ago

And you're not the best looking but still a good person.

Entire actual sale is on PSN.

AK911708d ago

Damn it already spent my money on other games.

NeoGamer2321708d ago (Edited 1708d ago )

This is why I don't buy a lot of games day one anymore.

Control, a month old is getting discounted. What encouragement is there for anyone to buy a game on day one anymore?

I downloaded Gears 5 on GamePass day one and am working my way thru the 20 hrs of campaign. Meanwhile I bought Borderlands 3 day one a week later and still have yet to get to it.... If it goes on sale before I start it, it will have been waster money.

The day one buyers should be rewarded, not punished.

frostypants1708d ago

You're rewarded with the ability to play it right away. If you buy it and let it sit on your shelf, whose fault is that? What would you have them do?

NeoGamer2321708d ago

Yup so I quit buying day one, because there is no reward if i can't play it day one.

Now if they included the season pass for day one buyers that would be something.

Petebloodyonion1708d ago

I completely agree with you and is one of the reasons why I don't buy game day 1.
I see no reason to buy a single-game at 60$ when I know that if I wait for a little while, I will have the same experience at half the price.
and worst, some companies actually punish early buyer really hard (looking at WB, Capcom and Square)
per example, I bought Injustice 2 day1 at 60$ was on the fence regarding season pass, then after a year I started seeing the legendary edition out in sales at 20$ but the actual seasons pass for the original game has never been in sale. So to have the cheapest version I have to buy again the game so I can have access to the DLC.

Companies should reward properly early consumers with real incentives and extras (not a crappy skin)
Here some good incentive.
Street fighters collection: get SF4 free
Quantum Break: Get the whole Alan Wake and American Nightmare.
Gears 4 gave you the whole 360 gears collection.
Killing floor2 on PC charged half price when it was in Early Access.

BLow1708d ago

Yep, I only buy games day 1 that I know that I will play right away. November and Black Friday is coming soon so I know there will be some good sales then. Plus, my backlog is massive and continues to grow lol.

RedDevils1708d ago (Edited 1708d ago )

Why buy the games day one if you're not playing straight away? I never do that, well I did which I learned from it lol. So if I ever buy day one games again, I play it straight away. But if I know I still have other games still need to be finishes I either keep that on hold or buy that hugely anticipate games at latter date so I don't waste the money.

1nsomniac1708d ago (Edited 1708d ago )

Fairest way to do it is a reduced pre-order price.

MAULxx1708d ago

I would say that those who wait are more rewarded than those who preorder or buy day one. Preorderers & day one purchasers get to play the game earlier which is really the only bonus they get. For those who wait, they get a cheaper price & probably a better experience with the game after patches; especially if the game had some serious annoyances at launch.

NeoGamer2321708d ago

Yes, and if you wait long enough not only do you get the game, you can usually get the "complete" edition cheaper then people who bought it at launch. Not really encouraging consumers to run out and buy your game.

kayoss1708d ago

Most people buy day one because they are looking forward to the game. Some people buy because they are FOMO (fear of missing out). These are the people who just let it sit on the shelf then play it later.

Can FSR 3 frame generation deliver the 120fps dream on PS5 and Xbox?

Frame generation technology has arrived on consoles, amplifying frame-rates and potentially transforming experiences.

adds between 8.3-15.3 milliseconds of latency on the game they tested, - no thanks

darksky7h ago

Base latency is 130.8ms and frame gen takes that up to 139.1ms. A 7% increase in latency is hardly a deal breaker.

Zenzuu7h ago

That's hardly a deal breaker and not really noticeable. Even the folks at Digital Foundry said so as well.

darthv721d 1h ago

Impressive results... sadly I don't have a 120hz display. I was thinking this technique could increase fps on any game that supports it regardless of the display.

purple1011d ago (Edited 1d ago )

I have a vrr telly in the lounge,

On another point, what if it were the other way around where the developer aims for higher fps, then used something like pssr to make the resolution higher, that might be better?

Any which way, PS5 pro sure looks interesting now, being they have already doubled frame rate, with JUST just this fsr3.0

sagapo6h ago

It’s up to dev’s to implement FSR 3 support tho but most probably will I guess (hope).

andy857h ago

Now I've extensively tried it I'm not too fussed about 120 fps. Give me a locked 60 and more details and I'm more than happy

anast2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

120 is a bit slow. My eyes can't look at anything less than 260fps.
