At the 09:20, Mike expressed the same concern that i have when he said that Sony maybe doesn´t have anything new to announce/show for the PS4 and that´s may be the reason why they´re skipping both PSX and E3 2019, and that those new announcements would be made for the PS5.

When i said this might be the reason Sony skipped both PSX and E3 2019, people got all emotional and offended when in fact, it´s just the logical decision for Sony to make since they wouldn´t invest large sums of money on PSX and E3 2019, just to get people hyped with impossible expectations when Sony supposedly don´t have any new game (first party) comming to PS4.

Even with Sony skipping those two large events, there´s people that still are under the impression that Sony will blow people´s minds with new games for the PS4 via some digital event like Nintendo´s Direct events. It´s possible, but i´m not holding my breath.

We should find out soon enough.

I do not get why people get so upset. Last of Us 2, Days Gone, and Death Stranding are the exclusives they have coming up.of note. Now the question is ehst other AAA exclusives are in the works? Is it so hard to believe the others ste likely for the next system and Sony is not ready to announce it or tip their hand?

bluefox7551986d ago

Don't mistake his "concern" for actual interest in the topic, lol.

Godmars2901986d ago

Sadly its blind brand loyalty. Though they're doing well any hint of a question otherwise must be slapped down and rallied against.

sampsonon1986d ago

Ghost Of Tsushima looks to be another amazing game.

sampsonon1986d ago

they don't need to make anymore games for the ps4. they have 4 AAA exclusives that will lead us into 2020 to which the ps5 will be either announced or it will be released in nov of 2020.

they've done their job and made the ps4 the best console gen, imo.

lol even with those concerns about Sony next year, Sony's future is way brighter and positive than the competition combined like Nintendo and MS, for example starting next month is releasing Kingdom Hearts III I know is multiplataform but at the same I know the true fanbase is at Playstation side(same goes for DMC 5 or RE2 Remake), most sales will be on PS4 causing once more its popularity will be on the rise, what I'm trying to get here even with the PS4 not too many announcement lately or news, even with this! the PS4 has already 2019 on its pockets, and also we already know currently there are awesome exclusives on the making for the Playstation brand that the competition like Nintendo or MS can only dream off, but also we will have the announcement of the PS5, so what more excitement you want that?. Will be a crazy year for PS next year, period!. :D

August 2018: “We will use the next three years to prepare the next step, to crouch down so that we can jump higher in the future." - Kenichiro Yoshida, Sony president and CEO.
September 2018: "Sony will not be holding a PlayStation Experience event in 2018" - Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden.
November 2018: "We will not activate or hold a press conference around E3." - PlayStation senior vice president of communications Jennifer Clark.
This is known as "in line with business strategy", "saying something and acting on it" or "none-rocket science".

Can't wait to see what Sony is up to.

Can FSR 3 frame generation deliver the 120fps dream on PS5 and Xbox?

Frame generation technology has arrived on consoles, amplifying frame-rates and potentially transforming experiences.

adds between 8.3-15.3 milliseconds of latency on the game they tested, - no thanks

darksky7h ago

Base latency is 130.8ms and frame gen takes that up to 139.1ms. A 7% increase in latency is hardly a deal breaker.

Zenzuu7h ago

That's hardly a deal breaker and not really noticeable. Even the folks at Digital Foundry said so as well.

darthv721d ago

Impressive results... sadly I don't have a 120hz display. I was thinking this technique could increase fps on any game that supports it regardless of the display.

purple1011d ago (Edited 1d ago )

I have a vrr telly in the lounge,

On another point, what if it were the other way around where the developer aims for higher fps, then used something like pssr to make the resolution higher, that might be better?

Any which way, PS5 pro sure looks interesting now, being they have already doubled frame rate, with JUST just this fsr3.0

sagapo5h ago

It’s up to dev’s to implement FSR 3 support tho but most probably will I guess (hope).

andy856h ago

Now I've extensively tried it I'm not too fussed about 120 fps. Give me a locked 60 and more details and I'm more than happy

anast2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

120 is a bit slow. My eyes can't look at anything less than 260fps.
