Fallout 76 | Fortress of Solitude Review

Fallout 76 isn’t Fallout 5 – it’s a stopover, like Fallout Shelter. It proves that whether it’s a Lone Wanderer, a Sole Survivor or a random bunch of online gamers facing it, the wasteland can be a fascinating, unpredictable place.

8.6 ... good job I don't respect this website as that's a stupid score. More like 1.2

If a game is buggy, shallow and lacks content then that’s it

You can like it but can’t glide over legit flaws

PapaBop2022d ago

I loved the original Destiny but still wouldn't have given it above a 7. Nothing wrong with loving an unpopular game but glossing over glaringly obvious flaws is a bit different from opinions.

MadLad2021d ago

@foxtrot

I have no interest in 76. The game looks like a crappy cash-in by Bethesda.
On the other hand, you literally just described Fallout 4, which you have defended, and has garnered much better reviews, across the board.

@TedCruzsTaint

LOL...Fallout 4 is not as good as Fallout 3 or New Vegas but it's anything but shallow or lacking content.

"which you have defended"

Lies...I haven't even spoke about Fallout 4 since before launch where I was hyped for it and the only reasons I'd have done it post launch is to say how lacking it was compared to the other ones. However defending Fallout 4 for being shallow or lacking content? Yeah I will now because it's not.

Don't bullshit please

@Foxtrot

The game certainly has some bugs and needs some more optimization, but shallow and lacks content? That's just a lie. If the type of content you want is story telling through NPCs and dialog options, then yeah it's lacking content catered to YOU. The game on the other hand is flooded with content, unlike Sea of Thieves for example that launched with 3 fetch quest types and 2 enemies. That's lacking content. There's hundreds of hours of content through exploring the entire map with tons and tons of quest that are actually a lot more varied than what you'd get from previous Fallout games. You can hate the game all you what, but don't make up lies because they don't fit your personal preferences.

MadLad2021d ago

@foxtrot

Fallout 4 was new for the series. It decided character skills didn't matter, player agency in missions didn't matter, dialogue options didn't matter.

But, oh yes, it was so, so deep.
And sorry that I don't find the randomized content that Bethesda is known for as a reason to consider their games "full of content".

I'll take 10 hours of real content, over 60 hours of what Bethesda offers.

Armaggedon2021d ago (Edited 2021d ago )

The game has a lot of content. Does not matter if the game has a lot of content, if people dont like what is presented, it might as well be no content.

Armaggedon2021d ago

T9x69- Not liking the game and lacking content equates to the same thing for people unfortunately.

Armaggedon2021d ago

@TedCruzsTaint
Define "real" content please.

This game doesn’t deserve a score that high to be honest.
