Origin sale is pretty great as well!

bloop2747d ago

Wow, the EU sale really pales in comparison this. You yanks don't know how good you've got it.

Tapani2747d ago (Edited 2747d ago )

Oh yeah! I just spent north of $300 in games in a month, excluding PS4 Pro and SSD drive. Bought in all three stores (US, EU, JPN): Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Bound, FFXV Digital Deluxe, The Last Guardian, Beyond: Two Souls, Xcom 2, Infamous 2nd Son + First Light (looks amazing on Pro), Witcher 3 GOTY, Dishonored 1 Remaster, Doom, Dear Esther and Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Furi and Resident Evil HD Remaster. Prolly will add The Witness, Talos Principle, Inside and Abzu from the indies there later. In Jan/Feb Horizon: Zero Dawn and Nioh and I'm set for a year! :)

Doing this since I opted for PS4 Pro + SSD + crapload of games instead of a $3000 PC in the end. Normally I spend probably $300 a year...

Any gamer in the UK get to Argos right now and ask the cashier to check the code 616/9103. The code is a glitch to purchase Forza Motorsport 6 for literally 1p EACH!

nice, i want that Skyrim Special Edition

NukaCola2747d ago (Edited 2747d ago )

My lazy ass is finally buying Fallout 4.

Does anyone know if the 10% off coupon on the Black Friday page work with this? I shall try it!

Edit: I got FO4 and The Old Blood for $26. The coupon worked!

_-EDMIX-_2747d ago

Fallout 4 is definitely a huge time sink, I put about 170 hours in before I even touched any of the DLC

I got the season pass for a pretty good price when it was on sale.

HotMess2747d ago

sooo many discounts. so much for buying family gifts.

SublimeStylee2747d ago

Man I just bought battlefield 1 2 days ago for 79.99 will Sony help me out of I call?

Alexious2747d ago

Give it a try, you never know...After all, it's a Holiday and they might want to do a good deed.

? Lols...

Why is that Sony's fault? I'm sorry but no one forces you to purchase anything at full price if you don't want to.

I purchased Battlefield 1 at full price as well but that never actually stopped me from merely waiting for it to lower in price I chose to purchase it on the day of release because I wanted to play the multiplayer upon release.

30 hours in and I do not regret purchasing at full price, I wanted to play it when it came out and that is the price I chose to pay.

You could see if they could give you a refund so you could get the sale price but I'm not sure they will.

Doesn't hurt to try.

My caution to any gamers that are strapped for cash, if the game has already released... simply wait for a sale or purchase it used.

Games very often drastically lower in price Within weeks of release. Unless you're a die-hard fan there isn't a reason to purchase a game day one if you don't have the funds or even time.

I wanted to purchase world of Final Fantasy day one but realized all the time I would be spending on Battlefield 1 and Final Fantasy 15 so I decided to just wait.

World of Final Fantasy is 40 bucks now on sale,. I'll probably be able to get it next year used for like 20 or 30 bucks.

Buy the games you want the most day 1 , anything else you're better off waiting for a price drop or purchasing a used if you really don't have the money.

Consider if you're the type of gamer that's a finishing games the first couple days it might even be better if you consider getting a GameFly account or even Redbox.

Double_O_Revan2747d ago

It's sad that every one of these are more expensive than the physical copies are right now.

Kingthrash3602747d ago

Including tax?
Dam...what it does do all day, is beat standing in line after eating a ton of food.

Double_O_Revan2747d ago

People still have that false impression that you have to run to the stores right after eating to get Black Friday specials. Completely untrue. Not only are all the sales available online, but they're available early. All the major retailers started their sales late last night/early this morning. I was 100% done with my Black Friday shopping before 9am, and I didn't have to go to a single store.

As for the pricings:
BF1 - PSN: $40.19 right now at Bestbuy.com $29.99
FIFA - PSN $35.99 Bestbuy.com $29.99
Mafia 3 - PSN $41.99 Bestbuy.com $29.99
Titanfall 2 - PSN $35.99 Bestbuy.com $29.99

And thats just a few.

Kingthrash3602747d ago

Those are much better deals....do you have to wait for them in the mail?

MrFisher212747d ago (Edited 2747d ago )

Plus when you buy digital you really get 2 copies. I split all my games with a friend. Makes everything on the psn store half price to me all of the time. Even plus. Very nice and cheap. I am also the one downloading them under my profile. :)

MrFisher212747d ago

People would disagree to my favorite color if given the chance. Lol

FarEastOrient2747d ago

Same here, me and my brother work and live in different states.

InTheZoneAC2747d ago

I just bought the bf1 deluxe/titanfall 2 deluxe bundle for $75, no tax, so that's $37.50 per game

Or you can go to the store(few dollars in gas), wait in line for who knows how long, get the game(+tax) and in the end you saved nothing.

arkard2747d ago

Or buy it online, have a couple days of patience and save a bunch of money. And be able to resell for added savings.

PizzaSteve2747d ago

Agree I rather buy physical and save the extra cash for other games. Still great deals on PSN but I prefer physical.

How nice of them to give us more control over graphical settings as a way to *completely* avoid taking accountability for the broken Xbox settings.

bondsmx19d ago

Well, I still crashed like 5 times last night within two hours. So there’s that.

anast18d ago

I had to stop. The game is not good. I'd rather play Skyrim and that game isn't that good either.

Alot’s changed in 25 years. We have games with $300 mill budgets, people not interested in games other than Fortnite and Minecraft, the older generation of gamers giving up the hobby or dying off, a period of super bad inflation where the industry decided to hike up prices on games, Gamepass harming game sales, GaaS games being pushed left and right with obnoxious monetization and worse looking/playing (Suicide Squad vs Arkham Knight).

The industry is just shite right now. Games ain’t selling, games cost massive amounts, businesses can’t bleed money and this is what happens. Part of it is on them and part of it is on consumers not buying.

Yi-Long19d ago

Consumers ain't buying because of what they're selling; There is no new SSX or Burnout, everything is now Online Required, everything is 'service', etc.

Indies are still delivering the goods, perhaps even better than ever, because those are often the guys and gals who know what they want to make and just make that and hopefully we dig it as well and support it ...

... but when you look at those multi-million budget AAA games, are they improving on what we have had before? Is the new Forza Motorsport better than a Forza Mototsport 4? Is Halo Infinite better than Halo 3? Is Dragon Age 2 such a huge improvement over the first Dragon Age? Etcetc.

Yeah, graphics have gotten better, worlds have gotten better, but I think a gaming generations stands or falls with diversity and experiences, and a few gens ago we had access to whatever we wanted, so if we wanted a boxing game we picked up one of the boxing games, if we wanted snowboarding we'd pick up one of the snowboarding games, if we wanted to do a rythm game we had DJ Hero, or Guitar Hero, or Rockband. If we wanted to sneak around we had Splinter Cell or MGS or whatever.

We had variety and we had options, and that makes or breaks a generation, imo. You're in a foodcourt of games and they're serving all kinds of different cuisines, and so you'd pick and choose whatever you felt like that day.

Right now, you're in a restaurant, and you're only allowed to pick from one menu, and there's a dress-code, and you have to register, and you have to stay in your seat, etc etc.
