@Shin a Fad isn't defined by the developer making crucial mistakes that turn people off the game. You also use way too many adjectives that falsely exaggerate the situation.

uth112845d ago

That doesn't make sense, once they hit something successful, most companies milk it to death, not say "well we made enough money now"

iTechHeads2845d ago (Edited 2845d ago )

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. A business/company's goal to is to make money. Consistently.
Niantic is under no obligation to respond every complaint or negative news article. If they see a big negative impact from the updates I'm sure they will reconsider and reverse some decisions.

BlackWolf122845d ago

@Shin

Pokemon Go itself wasn't a fad, and the reason why people leave isn't because they are over it. People leave because the developer seems to be really terrible at actually being a good developer. They are starting to make really dumb mistakes.

When you have one of the one things in the game to do (hunt pokemon) being broken (distance tracker is broken) and then they remove it completely "till it's fixed", you're gonna have some people stop playing. And they're basically saying the only apps that can help you find pokemon with it being buggy will be getting axed...

If they can fix their distance crap and finally deliver trading (and hopefully battles in the future that don't require a pokegym).

According to a site farming for hits and attention...

Edit: nevermind: Did a google search and its getting flamed.

I was thinking around a months time.

antikbaka2845d ago

that's "nintendo syndrome" for you. "we are sooo big and popular, people will stay with even if we sh*t on the heads!"

This was my only concern about the game. Its extremely unusual for a Nintendo game to have any major bugs at all, But Nintendo had no involvement with the game. Its really just the same as 80% of developers nowadays.

_LarZen_2845d ago

Bull...it's a tiny cry babies group that probably got no life that is going crazy. I see just as many people out playing.

Kirchh772845d ago

I don't play the game or even like Pokemon but I clicked the link bc I knew it would end up this way...Having said that, it's easy to see why ppl would be mad. The company straight up told the consumers to go F$&& themselves.

lizard812882845d ago (Edited 2845d ago )

The removed tracking which was like 80% of the game. It isn't fun to wonder around aimlessly. They reduced the scan radius, there is an egg glitch now, and pokemon are harder to catch. Not to mention I get the same two pokemon all of the time....those two...

anyway, the game just isn't fun anymore without the tracking. I was hoping they would have fixed it rather than remove it....or removing any of the third party trackers too.

I guess they want us to walk around in a square, just like the NPCs do in Pokemon.

Rai2845d ago

Meanwhile Bots and Spoofers still haven't been banned. People are actually twitch streaming themselves spoofing and they haven't done anything.

samden2845d ago

They can't stop the people spoofing. That is outside of the control of the app as you are tricking your phone's gps into thinking you are somewhere else.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory2845d ago

okay......they should be getting on the Sun & Moon Hype Train.

I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.

But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.

Hofstaderman1h ago

EA can thoughtfully eff themselves.
