DMC4 is essentially the same game released on consoles in the spring, though we give much kudos to Capcom for taking the time to optimize their engine so drastically and adding PC-specific features. This is undoubtedly the premiere version of the game.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them
2.
Dmc.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?
Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.
Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.
5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.
better version on PC.. but this wont last anymore.. nex-gen games will need Nex-gen storage media (Blu-ray)..
otherwise they need huge amount of HDD for install(you know the examples)
side effects: lengthy time for install, limited workspace for developers..
so you think DVD will be enough for another 10 years , because you can install any amount of data on current HUGE HDD s... ?
many ppl thought the same 5 years ago about CD .. sorry but your statement is hilarious :P ..
its really obvious.. 9 GB wont be enough for ultra high res textures, high def sounds..etc .. CRYSIS was just a DirectX 10 showcase nothin more.. I love the valuable single player games, so without nex-gen storage media all games will become just multiplayer with 1 hour single player, or sth like oblivion with copy paste textures all over the maps..
Crysis had a little BS story(voice acting,cutscenes,... etc ) and short single player ( open world but linear objectives )
@M337ING :
lol.. so why they didnt use CD instead of DVD ? u can install 25 GB of data in the same time as 9 GB from DVD just using Blu-ray.. in the future u will need to install 20 GB of data on your 2TB hdd from a Blu-ray drive just in 2 minute..
Shot out to all my polish peeps out there!
