Microsoft: four Xbox-exclusive games are coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch

Microsoft is starting out small but has big ambitions.

I'd be so excited if one of those games was sunset overdrive as Sony owns the rights to the franchise while Microsoft own the publishing rights to the 1st game.

I'll take sea of thieves over skull and bones anyday. It was one of the very few titles that got me thinking about an xbox... I never did pull the trigger or think it was worth purchasing another console.

On topic ... I see MS as a publisher and not a console maker in the future.

I would actually buy Flight Simulator if it came to PS5. Just won't buy an Xbox to play it. And the reality is that you don't need to buy an Xbox to play the game. That's just crazy in the game industry.

The company is producing a piece of hardware that's not needed or just plain redundant.

If the Ps5 had a web browser, you could play it through there. i play it on my steam deck through the edge browser via xcloud. It works surprisingly well.

Many LS or AA games correct. Blade Indy, HB, Avowed etc are staying on Xbox and PC.

He did say nothing's off the table. In the next 10 years things could change if they're not growing the way they want. So if you want to hang the next 10 years or whatever then have fun with that.

@Scot hifi, Pentiment, SOT and I heard or saw hearing Flight Sim. Him saying INDY and SF not coming over and doubled down on those types of games aren't going to PS. He gave a never say never type of scenario based off of the market and growth of Xbox he's not ruling them out. Again the possibility for the future is still open, but not as of right now.

Out of the whole Xbox catalog, the only games I would be really happy to get is Starfield, Halo, and possibly Hellblade. @gold, I think because it doesn't matter what games were announced now. It is a huge deal in and of itself that xbox is porting 4 of their exclusives over playstation/Nintendo unconditionally. Such a dramatic change you'd think they would want to manage carefully as the downside to such a move is so obvious.

I would be surprised if the entire catalog being ported over hasn't already been decided. Once you take that step their is no rational for not sending all of them over. This is about managing/controlling the message. Doesn't matter anyways the games that are coming I don't find compelling (id be up for gears tho).

The rumored games don’t interest me much. If no physical copy I won’t bother for sure if there is a physical copy maybe I’ll buy Pentiment used but I highly doubt it will have a physical copy anytime soon if at all. That will be the case for all of their games for me, physical used or no buy.

Just imagen if sea of thieves come to PS and Nintendo, maybe on the PS they can put a PS character in one of the quest maybe Kratos or another PS character and Nintendo could do the same thing maybe Mario or Donkey kong Island or something crazy but you get the idea lile they did the pirate of caribean

I read that Sony have the rights to Sunset Overdrive because they bought Insomniac but Microsoft own the publishing rights to 2 sequels, so maybe Microsoft and Sony working together could lead to a Sunset sequel.
