Ransomed.vc group claims hack on ‘all of Sony systems’

Somehow a question that I was legitimately asking Battlestar is inappropriate, but condoning the theft of others information for one’s own benefit/curiosity is somehow appropriate?

I am legitimately curious as to what would make someone think the way Battlestar is thinking and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they are either trolling or too young to understand the implications this has on real peoples lives. There are employees of Sony, real people, who could be heavily impacted by this.

What’s deemed inappropriate seems completely backwards in this situation IMO.

The problem is that not enough companies are taking it seriously enough, especially when hackers and other bad players are getting smarter and are gaining new tools and methods everyday. Even banks are just banking on their anti-fraud team instead of spending the money to harden and lockdown their systems with new security systems.

I think it's a big mistake to not spend the money.

Considering Sony has denied almost all ps gamers the refunds for payday 3, I'm kinda glad this happened to them. Probably not the reason why this happened, but all the same.
(In context Mucrosoft and Steam are making exceptions due to the payday fiasco. As should Sony.)

You can verify my previous comments, I am a Sony fan boy. But between there GaaS initiative and they're strict refund policy that I recently am affected by, I have personal reason to say what I do. It's not out of anti fan boyism, or the like.

Right!? The technical issues with the game just seem to be that they underestimated the size of their audience and the net code can't cope. Plus, who knows how many people will have their identity stolen because of this. They claim to have hacked all of sony's systems. That includes this clown's personal information if true.

Look at their history. They claim to have hacked a number of companies and yet not a single piece of legit data has come from them. Now like moat ransom ware attackers they aren't actually hackers anyway. Ransomware relies upon someone accidentally downloading their software then it locks you out of your devices usually. That's about it. Nah they are full of shit.

There's no indication that anyone's data was compromised. They only got 6000 files, and they aren't saying what those files are. They could be firmware updates for their cameras for all we know, or word docs of financial records. We need to know more before panic sets in.
