Outer Wilds Touches Down on PS4 on October 15

After several months of Xbox One exclusivity, Outer Wilds is setting course for the PlayStation 4. When it launched, the first-person space simulator won over many hearts and minds thanks to its charming atmosphere and its tendency to reward player curiosity at every turn.

Wasn't too excited for this game at first but the more I see of it the more interested I'm becoming. Will definitely try this out when it releases.

ElementX1683d ago

So what you mean to say is that you weren't interested when it was on PC/Xbox but now that it's coming to PS4 it looks good.

gangsta_red1683d ago (Edited 1683d ago )

Yes, now that its coming to PS4, I have changed my interest levels of the game completely.

ElementX1683d ago (Edited 1683d ago )

You can be interested in games that aren't on your system of choice, there is no rule against that and it doesn't make you a traitor. I don't see why people need to have fanboy goggles on all the time.

gangsta_red1683d ago

You're right, especially with the PS4 being my number one system of choice. My reputation on this site definitely gives that away.

Curious though, what exactly in my original comment even made you think that I was more interested in this game because of it's release date for PS4? Especially since i never mentioned anything about being interested because it's on PS4.

ElementX1683d ago (Edited 1683d ago )

Intuition, but I've been wrong before. I once got into a heated discussion with some guy on Facebook based on his one word response to a post. In the end I owned him, though. I replied to Jon Athan, I'm Nathan. You can see what I look like.

What is wrong with someone wanting it on their system of choice?

ElementX1683d ago

I never said there was anything wrong with it.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis24d ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast24d ago

It's worth a play through today.

Outer Wilds is a great game, but it runs like crap on the Series S. Muddy, low resolution and a bad framerate. Definitely deserves/needs an update.

LucasRuinedChildhood515d ago (Edited 515d ago )

They released an updated version a few months ago on PS5 and Series X | S.

It now seems to be a locked 60fps on the S. https://youtu.be/_ejE06fIh9...

MadLad515d ago

Cool. Thanks for the info.
I mainly game on PC, but I travel a lot with my Series S.

Si-Fly515d ago

You should get a Steam Deck, way better to travel with lol

MadLad515d ago

I actually have a Steam Deck, which I do take with me on planes and all that, but I'm usually gone for at least a few days, so I like something that I can just hook up at the hotel and not worry about battery life.

I wish these subscription services would give more notice on this because I really wanted to play Scarlett nexus but just started elden ring. I guess I will have to pause Elden Ring and come back after I finish Scarlet Nexus
