In-depth Review: Blood Knights - Electronic Theatre

A long time coming, the turbulence suffered by Blood Knights as it journeyed to release has not gone unnoticed. Originally expected to arrive over a year ago financial troubles on behalf of dtp Entertainment, the videogame’s original publisher, embroiled developer Deck 13 in a long-winded struggle to launch their near-finished title. It fell to would-be heroes Kalypso Media to finally bring Blood Knights to consumers then; sadly just missing the Halloween launch it was so obviously reaching for. However, while timing may be important a good videogame will find an audience no matter when it arrives, and Blood Knights does well enough in this regard to earn a cult following.

In case anyone is wondering Europe gets Alienation instead of Abzu.

http://n4g.com/news/2049444...

nunley332593d ago

I'd rather get Alien Nation

OB1Biker2593d ago

Dam was looking forward to Abzu. Still good

Liqu1d2593d ago

I would have preferred Abzu + Alienation, oh well.

boomtube19872593d ago

boring...more indies and indies and indies and non stop indies. Make MP free so us CoD, Fifa and MP guys wont hate on indies and PS Plus.

Goldby2593d ago

just a heads up. Abzu has more substance in it than all the Cods for the last decade

boomtube19872593d ago (Edited 2593d ago )

@goldby substance for the nerd maybe...not for majority of CONSOLE GAMERS. I laugh at the sales of Abzy and any other non AAA indies against CoD lol. 10 years on from CoD4 and yet every CoD still best selling game every single year since. Indies are vermins. Console gamers have spoken. Spoken every year. #BanIndiesOnConsoles

hobbes20992592d ago

I give this trolling attempt a desperate/10.

nX2592d ago

^Well I hate to tell you it but this world prefers nerds over airheads, morons and dudebros - might wanna change your attitude since you've shown with only two comments that you're all of that.

Aenea2592d ago (Edited 2592d ago )

Nope, you MP guys are making sure we Indie people get 'free' games each month! 😜

----
Wow, hating on nerds too huh? Guess what? Those nerds you despise are making your precious CODs as well!

Dagexon2593d ago

Dammit I got really excited at the prospect of getting abzu :(

InMyOpinion2593d ago

Already own it but it's a damn good game!

ILostMyMind2593d ago (Edited 2593d ago )

Alienation is a must have for PlayStation users.

Chexs19902593d ago

Ffs, I saw abzu and got too hyped -_-

XanderZane2593d ago

Damn.. only Tales From The Borderlands & Abzu worth playing this month. I already have Tales from the Borderlands. Got TellTale Games 4 game bundle last Christmas for like $50?
Everything else this month is pretty crappy. I'll download Abzu anyways.
Save your clicks.

It seems NA region is getting Abzu, while EU is getting Alienation.

MasterCornholio2593d ago

Sorry about the duplicate. You beat me by 10 minutes.

:P

Anyways I'm surprised the lineups are different. I personally would choose Europe's over the US though.

-Ghost2593d ago (Edited 2593d ago )

No problem and I feel the same way. Both regions should have gotten Abzu and Alienation. Why change it now?

XanderZane2593d ago

Did Europe have the same thing except Abzu? What was their lineup?

Aenea2592d ago

I have both Abzu and Alienation already, I don't mind either way! 😀

Nitrowolf22593d ago

Abzu isnt a bad game, but i would have prefer alienation considering u can co op and play with others

XanderZane2593d ago

I would have taken Alienation over Port Royale 3 or even Tales From The Borderlands since I own that already.

-Ghost2593d ago

Same but I'm happy about Tales of the Borderlands. I just seen some gameplay of Port Royale 3 and was thinking WTF? Not interested in playing a business simulation game.

Knushwood Butt2593d ago

Wonder what Japan will get as Alienation was a couple of months back.

seanpitt232592d ago

If it wasn't for alienation it would if been a poor month.
Deadnation was good so alienation should be improved on that.

This isn't bad, Tales From the Borderlands is probably my favorite Telltale game, might play it again to get the trophy.

Razzer2593d ago

Yeah. Really good, funny game.

OB1Biker2593d ago

Heard only good things about it and looking forward to it. Great month

RommyReigns2593d ago

Is it a easy platinum like other Telltale games?

-Ghost2593d ago

Yeah, all Telltale games are easy to platinum.

dumahim2593d ago

Not sure it's my favorite, but it's up there. Certainly the funniest.

Fingerguns.

Jmanzare2593d ago

It was in my backlog for a while. Played it recently and I loved it.

OldGuyStillGaming2593d ago

It's a ok month for both platforms, nothing really great but it's just ok

Razzer2593d ago (Edited 2593d ago )

Not a bad month at all.

XanderZane2593d ago (Edited 2593d ago )

Maybe a little better then last month, but not by much. Last month was a disaster. Still waiting for a GREAT PSPlus month.

@IGiveHugs2NakedWomen
I was actually expecting it to be a LOT better then this. A couple decent games though for PS4. Everything else is blah...

EatCrow2592d ago

Not sure if they haven't already given them but they should likely place
Infamous Second Son and some current game that has barely Sold.

I feel like they have a ton of japanese games they could likely put in there

We also hope to resurrect your interest in fifteen other frightfully good games already haunting the service, so be sure to check some of the existing games in the service as well.

Nope its out. And its awesome.

sergons3161d ago

Yes, its awesome. Especially subscription price...

bamillington3161d ago

im just not interested in now at all. i would rather play new games

S2Killinit3161d ago (Edited 3161d ago )

That is true. But sometimes you want to play a game that you missed out on. Or you just want to play a quick session and you want a particular genre (lets say strategy). In that case PSNow is awesome. It has the largest renting catelog of any rental service i know of. You can play a quick session for the price of a starbucks coffee.

Bc is useless in comparison if you ask me because you have already played the games you owned last generation (for the most part). Also if i head to a store i dont want to buy a last gen game. On top of that you are at the merci of which old games are available at your local besbuy or gamestop. Then add the cost of driving to the store only to find that they dont have the old game you want... And well you get the picture.

Blood Knights review - XB1

The desire to be Diablo is strong with this one… shame the execution didn't match the intent
